It looks like they have a free trial on their website. The program appears quite reasonably priced actually :).

http://www.corel.com
Item Price(USD)
Corel Painter IX $429.00
If that is reasonably priced I am not taking you out for dinner, I don't think I could afford a date with you.

Oh, stupid Billie must have been looking at the price of the upgrade.
You were going to take me out to dinner? You can afford me! I'm happy going nearly anywhere! I'm cheap and easy!
Er...gfd :\.
Anyway, it's still cheaper than Photoshop.
Edit: I'm confused...I was just looking at prices and it's so much cheaper off site...

These sites are legit, no? What's the deal? This looks like the full version. *frowns*

Yes thats legit. I almost never buy a program from the actual site that produces it, if you google it you can almost always find it cheaper elsewhere :)

I dabble a bit in both PS and Painter. Generally, I prefer PS since it gives me a cleaner look plus has more features and versitility. I use painter when I want it to look more like it was done with traditional media.
But those are pretty much my big 2 for coloring.
