Its very clean and very readable, both good things for sigs in my opinion.
I would make the font a different color than the background image to jazz it up some. Try the blue of her armor for a tie in or just play around and see what works.
A more unique font might help as well.

I'm not sure how it'd look because I am not able to play around with it but you might try moving the faded image behind your other one. There is less going on backgroundwise on that side of the sig. Either that or flip your background around. It looks a bit busy with the tower showing through the face.
Its very shiny, I like the background colors.
Trying over here
Seeing as I didn't get a response at NS, I am going to harrass you all here for some feedback on a sig I did for a rogue friend. I am looking for 3ish CC as I want to move up a level in my art, but I am aware I have a way to go yet. I used one of the screenshots from the archive at NS for the background. I have shown it to Tiggerer, the rogue it is for and he likes it. I just want to know if there is anything glaring that I need to remember for next time :)

I agree with Mai on the font.
I think the only other thing that would make this perfect is a bit of smudge around the edged of the kitty to get rid of the pixelation.

I think it looks great :) dafont has some great fonts, and I have downloaded a few myself from there. :)

A fun thing to do with the "fur" on the cats, especially the tiger ones, is take the natural brush with all the little dots, the 14 pt one, and on a 50ish intensity smudge fluff out the edges of his ears and his cheeks. Just touch the edge and drag. It'll give it that fluffy furry look. =)
Other than the font, I'd consider pushing up the background a little more. You can only see the tippy top of your buildings. Your background isn't suppose to take away but enhance your sig enough to make everything look interesting. Same goes with the figure on the left. Dont be afraid to let the top of the image touch the border or even be cropped out. You can see more of the armor and gives you the chance to start playing with highlights and popping the armor.
:thumbsup It is beautiful. I like the warm tones of the background, it contrasts nicely with the kitty's armor and his faded face gives it that nice dramatic effect. =)
Regarding NS - its hard with so many people to get a response for every piece that's posted. It lost that personal touch for me, that's why Vex and I decided to open my boards. It does suck that its hard to get a reply sometimes =/ Anyway, hope this helped. :hug

Nice start! I don't have much to add from above, but I would try breaking up the text a bit rather than having it straight across the top. Maybe enlarge the name and make the "of Tunare" a bit smaller and run it underneath. It would probably work well along that left section to balance the character on the right.

Thanks for the wonderful replies, I know it gets congested at NS, I really didn't mean for that to sound so whiny. I have had such nice feedback there before, the volume of posters would certainly make it hard to keep up with all the new art.
Maelarya, I will definately have a go at the fur tip, that sounds fun.
About the font, I guess I just chickened out LOL I spent ages looking at fonts at that site already but I just felt overwhelmed and went for a straight plain one :P
I did try the background both ways and I just really liked the contrast of the sky against the blue armor when got lost when it was flipped. I know I lost some of the buildings behind the faded kitty, maybe I just tried to add too many elements *shrugs*
Tiggerer likes it though and doesn't want anything changed so he is keeping it as it is. I will definately be trying more kitties though, because I want to do that fur thing /giggle
Thankyou all for the encouragement, I always feel motivated to do more when I come here and oggle the pretty things you all make. I just need to buy more time in the day...it never goes far enough.
And I really need to make me a siggy for here.

I also agree with the font. This one could still be usable, just by putting a layer style on it (bevel/emboss) maybe a drop shadow on that to give the piece depth. I agree with font color too...I'd go with a bluish like the armor. And I also agree with bringing up the background so you see more of the buildings, smudge and fluff. Seeing White kitty toons makes me miss my old friend....Rikr - Composer of Sol Ro....both kitty and server are dead. /sniff.
