Morrigan Kinsey (boobage warning)

OK, I've been working on this sketch of my SA character for about a month now - a little bit each day after work - and I'm finally to the point where she has all her limbs. She still needs clothes and she'll be leaning on a cane. I plan on trying to color her as well, but at the rate I'm going now that may not be done til 2006.

Anywho, mild c/c is appreciated - this is my first full body sketch so I am still in the learning process and a little sensitive about the work. She's been my baby for the last month. *sniffle* Everything was done in PS (on one layer.../smacks forehead) using a reference from a pose created in Poser and the help of a grid.

Now I need to see if I can figure out Kyena's tut on separating lines from the background. >_<

Looks good. I'd say the minor things would be... inside of her right elbow narrows a bit too much (only slightly). Top side of her right shoulder seems a tad sharp. Those are pretty minor though

One thing I noticed was the left leg. The thigh and the shin seem to be going in different directions.

Aside from those nitpicks, it's pretty solid.

hmmm...I'll futz with that stuff today and see if I can't make them look better. Thanks, Saraq~

k I tried to soften the shoulder, make the leg less twisted, make the hip more realistic, fix the forearms, and beefed up the upper arms. Better?

Yup yup. That shut me up :)

I like how its looking now. Its hard for me to give c/c since I wouldnt know how to correct the things that look off to me. Saraq seemed to have pointed them out perfectly. What kind of clothes are you putting on her?
Guest 20 years ago
A black suit (no shirt or bra~) with a dark red pinstripe. =D I'm gonna need help with the cloth though. =/

She's looking good, Ry :)

danke ^_^

I roughly sketched out the clothes yesterday and worked part of the afternoon refining it, but then my hand started cramping up really bad and I had to quit >_< I'll post it up when I gets home though. I'm having a hard time figuring out the cloth at the bend of the elbows and stuff.

That's a great start Ry! I can't get freehand lines to look clean like that for nothing. What are you guys doing to make that happen? Just steady hands??
Guest 20 years ago
thankies~ =D

I do not know what this steady hand is you speak of. hehe No, really, my hands shake uber bad. I use what I like to call the subtraction method - I skribble in really thick lines and then use an eraser to thin it out and make it smooth. I do the same thing with pencil (except my skribbles are *much* lighter). The eraser is your friend~

Alrighty, here's my update with clothes. I'm not too sure on the whole cloth thing, so l33t infoz are appreciated.

I think the pants leg on the left is tapered too closely, it should have some flare to it even if they are straight legged. You might also want to make the sleeves on the lower arms less tight to the body.

Her left or our left? What do you think of shortening the jacket to hip length? Jennafae told me it would be sechsier. I also forgot to add cuffs to the pants >_<
Mai 20 years ago
Add cuffs to the pants.. and hip length would be nice though I think the length is fine the way it is.

Your lines are so clean and pretty =) I really like how this is shaping up so far.
Mai 20 years ago
oh sorry, I didn't answer did I? Our left.
Guest 20 years ago
k...shortened the jacket, loosened the legs and sleeves, added cuffs...
