A testament to the idiotic world we live in.

Making any type of bomb comment, joke or not, written or verbal, is 99% of the time interpreted as a bomb threat. This was true well before the 9/11 'security' increase. I am not even enough of an asshole to joke about this, I don't find being detained, interrogated and possibly tried under bomb threat laws very exciting.

If I was that person. I'd ahve picked up the bomb note - winked at the guy across the isle and said "woops! bomb on the plane!" then smiled and said "freedom of speech though!" then probably sipped some tea and ate a mentos.

If you have a package of Mentos, you can get away with anything.
