elven druid - wip

new image i just scanned. i'll probably end up erasing the background thingie, its just not even enough and im not sure i can salvage it. maybe i'll redo it digitally. i like how it looks, just not the botched job i did inking it. also need to darken the outline of the hair a bit.
will probaby color this tonight or tomorrow... also, if you'd like to color it yourself, PM me and i'll email you a larger version of it.

She is cute! If i could learn how to drive PSP I would love to colour these things in, they look so fun. Guess I need to read the help files more....

You always do such petite cute bodies, Kassy. The only thing I see is that her fingers look kinda broken =/ Can't wait to see it colored though, wish I could figure out how to do that.

I think she looks awesome. I can see what Mae is saying with the hand but if you're going to put a spell effect or something there I think it will come out looking right.
I think.. I've been trying to figure out whether my hand will do that and it looks like it would but my hands are double jointed so they do odd things anyway :-?

my hands do it just fine, which is what i go by for drawing hands... also, i forgot to add the interior line seporating the middle and ring fingers, so it looks a bit odd. it'll get fixed.

They look OK to me...looks like they're bent kind of toward you so they're foreshortened a bit.

Hope you don't mind but I really liked your work and figured I would use it to practise my coloring work and get more familiar with my stylus (which I'm still fighting with). What do you think? :)

not too shabby. :) not colors i would have gone with, but it turned out nice, epecially if you're not used to using a stylus. i couldnt color for crap when i switched from mouse to tablet... not that i can anyway, but hey.
only thing Id suggest is to move all the lines to another layer and set it to multiply - and make sure it stays on top of everything else. that way you dont get the white halos around the lines... that's how i do it, but im sure there's other, probably better, ways.
feel free to color anything i post in black and white... and if i dont post B/W of soemthing you want to play with, leave a note or PM or AIM me and i'll email you one. :)

I knew there was a trick with the lines to make them less obvious. Its a damn good job, Noc =) Coloring still boggles my mind and I really like the background. :thumbsup

Yep that looks really good Noc, especially for still learning the tool!
I love how you did your hair Kassy, the blues and whites look so cool and soft!!!

I enjoy coloring stuff, I can't do line art worth a damn so yeah I'd love to work on more stuff if you have anything laying around :grin
This project alone re-taught me a few tricks. Prior to this I hadn't done any coloring work for, um... well 2-3 years I think, and yeah this was my first time with the tablet. I can't do hair or eyes that well... yet.
As for the color scheme I went with, I wanted something a little unusual but still sorta nature-ish. I went for fall colors (oranges & faded greens) and then threw in some blacks and reds to give it a less peaceful feel (I think she isn't one ot those good-girl druids in my pic, hehe.. unkempt druid maybe?).
I'll remember that about the lines next time; the white grain around them was kinda driving me nuts on the whole project, lol
