More Elf Colouring

wow, that's a lotta pink. looks pretty spiffy, but you might want to think about adding highlights as well as shadows. :) not that im an expert at lighting... i hate it. one of these days i'll go back and recolor this with more hotspots and deeper shadows. mwahaha.

i colored this one a few months ago and posted it here somewhere, but for those of you as lazy as myself, here's mine again... odd we went with the same color, but me for the dress and noc for the skin :)

I like the lighting on yours better, this was my first color job where I actually did any highlights. I liked how they turned out on the skin more or less, but I'm unhappy with my pink robe. I'm not a huge fan of pink, but I thought there was something kinda cool about a blue Tier'Dal with blonde hair and a bright pink robe... or maybe I just thought it was funny, hehe

Yours looks more like the R. A. Salvatorre flavour of Drow to me, but hey I like that. A friend of mine wanted to see me make one of the elves into an eq blueberry and this was the result, hehe.

Overall I like yours better, maybe in time I'll get that good ;-)

yeah, i was going for 'drow' not 'tier`dal', hence the blackish grey skin.

the highlights on the skin of yours are good, just need to add some to the robes :)

btw Kassy, I love the new Avatar, very cute :)

Yeah, the big version of her av is around here somewhere.. cute as a button. Good job on the colouring much better with the shading and the highlights with each piece. I don't know if you're doing them on various layers but I'd suggest it if you aren't. I put my shading (generally more than one layer of it ) and my highlights on different layers for each one, it gives you room to experiment without messing up your colouring so you can be bold with it or light or change the opacity or blend mode.

Goofing around with it has led me to quite a few happy surprises. :)

I have a love/hate relationship with the laces on the pants. On the one hand they are kinda a pain to colour, on the other they look pretty damn good IMO ;)

And yes, I love Drow. R A Salvatore = a literary god
