Night Elf

Here's one I was working on originally with the intent of trying out a new pattern that I had made but I could not manage to import the material into poser but it seemed to waste the time posing him and everything so I went ahead and made this.

He's not a night elf from WoW..I've never played that.. he's an elf and its night.. Yep, that's my naming skills at work. C/C 5

I'm going to c/c your title naming skills at a later date. O_o hehe

The hair is fab, did you draw the whole thing? No c/c on that, not that I'm good at c/c hair. lol I love his pose, his hands look exceptionally well placed. I like the shadows and everything. His shoulders look so play-dough-y, but I know that's poser. I dont know why they make the shoulder joint look so curvy, I dont even know how to fix that. I like his pants...but are they pants? I can't see the crotch...not that I was looking, mind you.

/whistles

I like the clouds, the stone columns - there's something about their perspective that seems like it's off. Hard to explain, they look good though but almost as if they dont fit in. I think the piece could do without them and still look stellar cool beans.

Honestly I reached for c/c, I really do like this piece. There is my fluff =D :thumbsup Awesome job, Mai!

Hmm its possible with the background.. I imported that from a bryce sky render I took a long time ago. So its just imported into the back of poser. (Thanks again Vex!)

The hair is the cuffed tail from poser with changes and additions in photoshop. I tried to fix the poser shoulder thing but yeah, its still like that. *cries* I was worried about messing up the shine and shading on it by smudging it around too much.

I can play with the pants more... ;) they were solid black from the render.

Here's the non post worked Render

I'm not sure on the perspective thing, maybe someone else will see it also and tell me what to fix.. though I didn't save the poser file on him! *smacks forehead*

Thanks Mae!

Well, it looks really great but I have too agree on the with Mae that the background perspective looks odd. The focal lines meet outside the picture instead of inside, which is why it looks off...not sure how it has happened though....
Also..for a night picture the highlights seems too bright on the elf, but it might be a question of my monitor calibration compared to my own....
Mai 20 years ago
Yeah it is too bright.

Do you guys think it is that the clouds look too low perhaps?

No, the issue is the angle of the stone piece. On the side walls, you can see a lot of the tops of them, but it doesn't look like such a sharp upper angle on the figure - it's a little more head on. For us to see that much of the tops of the walls, we'd see more of the top of his head.

Lookin good though ;)

Oh!! I can possibly fix that outside of poser. ^_^

/nod Yeah, should be a pretty easy fix.

He's wonderful looking and i agree with Mae about those shoulders/arms

they look like bendy toys! you could prolly post work them by squaring off his shoulders and filling in the overgap on his triceps.

His face and hair are so lovely! i didnt notice the background being off so either i dont notice major things or its not drawing attention from the hottie!

Ok Here's the edit. I hadn't forgotten!

Oh that looks better the only CC I have to offer is the pose of his hand there I thought maybe he was holding his crotch but after i looked closer at it i can see its a lil off to be doing that unless hes really really packing down there o_O If you stand in that pose and actually grasp your hand you will notice your finger curl up just a tad. then again i could be all wrong and hes resting his hand on his thigh =/
Nice piece , hes like all sexy and shit :)
Mai 20 years ago
His hand is on his thigh, the poser render is one black blob from the waist down, no highlights at all on the material and I couldn't tell the position of the legs exactly afterwards so I highlighted as best I can remember. Its probably off though, any thoughts on where it should be?
Adiene 20 years ago
okiedokie ;) shadows on the back part of his hand to make it look a lil beant at the wrist and tiny bit along the side should give me some depth. But thats just me and I'm sure I'm being really nit picky about it so pay me no mind hehe I think hes lovely.. I'd hit it! :P
Mai 20 years ago
ok, can do! ^_^

Ok, added the shadow on the hand :)
