Aruba rape/murder

http://www.courttv.com/news/holloway/index.html

High school honor student Natalee Holloway has been missing since May 30, 2005 when she disappeared during a senior class graduation trip to the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba, an island of 72,000 residents that once enjoyed a reputation for its low crime rate.

So my father and I were talking about this. Why did her parents let her go to an island known for nothing but resorts and partying? She was a senior in HIGH SCHOOL. Did she not know her daughter was going to drink and potentially have casual sex? Maybe I'm a prude, but there is no way in FUCK I'd let Catherine go on a trip to another country without her dad or I. Going to Paris? Wow awesome, LETS GO! It just seems dumb to me.

Now, not that I think Natalie deserved what happened - most certainly not, but there are dipshits out there like this guy.

Van der Sloot, 17, has changed his version of events at least once. Originally, he and two Surinamese friends told police they dropped Holloway off at her hotel and then went home May 30, the day she disappeared while on a graduation trip with 124 classmates.

Later, van der Sloot acknowledged to his mother and authorities that he was alone with the Alabama honors student on a beach near the Marriott Hotel, leaving her there but not harming her.

So it's come out that Sloot is a habitual rapist and uses that date rape drug to get women. I hope they cut his motherfucking balls off. This whole case just pisses me off.

It just reinforces what my mother always told me. "If you are not watching your children, you can guarantee someone else is."

Amen sistas. I wasn't allowed out of the house until I was 20 and even then my mother knew where I was every minute. I bet her parents are kicking themselves now.

Guess I was lucky.. I had a few close calls and such considering but nothing bad, since I was pretty much on my own from the time I was 16, almost 17 on. My Mom would ask where I was going and such, but I was trusted to do my own thing. Heck really from umm.. 15 on. Just had to check in and say where I was off to and it was no biggie. And I grew up in Houston so it wasn't like an idylic little town or anything. Mom and Dad knew they'd raised a smart kid who could be trusted. And man the only time I really lied to them I felt SO bad.. and I know my Dad knew I was, even as I told him.. but he let me anyways. Wonder if he would have knowing I was off to lose my girl-hood? heh

Oh but about that guy.. apparently his Dad is a judge I think it was, so I'm betting nothing will really happen to him in the end. SOmeone needs to just take care of him permanently.

Wow, that's just fucked up. My guess is that girl wasn't too wise on those kinds of things either. When I was in high school, I went on trips to Hawaii, Catalina, and Italy with classmates and never had a problem, but I was also emancipated and living on my own so I knew how to take care of myself. We really need to make sure young girls know just how many fucked up people are out there and not to be so trusting.

I heard that she was in a car with these 3 guys and they drove by her friends who pleaded with her to come out. Seriously, if that were me and I had a drunk ass friend in a car with 3 guys, there would be some blows. Someone would get punched in the face and I'd drag her ass out of the motherfucking car.

I dont care how much of a slut you are, no one would be in a car with 3 strange men if they weren't that fucking drunk to know better. Just sickens me =/

The real question is:

If she wasn't a pretty blonde girl, would the media care?

Van der sloot and the other 2 brothers were released on the 4th. They were told to remain available. Van der sloot is in THE NETHERLANDS. That doesn't seem readily available to me.

They got away with rape and murder. This is even more reason for me to watch Catherine and her friends like a motherfucking hawk.

Not one bit. This happens everyday but we've been hearing about this one case for over a month now. Can we find a fucking body already so I don't have to constantly read about what the mom thinks about the dinner she had last night?

Rape and murder? Impressive. Aside from some dumb high school chick being missing and a mom who wont shut the fuck up there is no evidence of any foul play. No evidence, no body, no scene of a crime, no motive = innocent no matter how biased anyone is.

True, I think Natalie Halloway's parents are fucking stupid for letting their high school daughter go to an island known for casual sex and partying...but just because natalie was stupid, doesn't mean she deserved to end up where ever she's decomposing at. I have no doubt she's dead and Van der sloot admitted to raping her. Whether he killed her...I'm leaning towards fuck yes he did the miserable piece of shit.

I believe her parents are at fault for assuming their kid was mature enough to go on a trip of underaged drinking and casual sex.
