Whew ... still a nerd

Got my grades for week 1 of the class I'm in, Digital Illustration. Some of you know how frustrated I've been with learning Adobe Illustrator. Paired with house hunting, a new job, and a new puppy, stress from school overwhelmed me and I had a few moments in the past couple of weeks that I felt like my efforts were pathetic and that I was going to get a shoddy grade.

No worries though, I still have straight A's!

Actually, I'm still a touch worried. The stupid Apple-a-Day project (desgin an apple from scratch in Illustrator, 1 a day for 5 days) from Week 1 bridged Week 2, so I don't have grades for those yet.

I had the most wonderful teacher for Illustrator *sighs* one of the few instructors who actually felt the need to teach a person how to use the tools instead of saying here's your assignment and some books on photoshop, get to it! Of course we had the advantage of a class of only five people, but it was incredible to me to find such a talented guy at a rural community college.

The apple a day assignment is a clever idea. I'd personally love to hear about your other assignments, I've been struggling with creating a tutorial of some kind for illustrator and could use ideas :D. I could make something that shows how to use a specific tool but thinking of something more all encompassing is harder O_o. Gratz on the good grades, I have much love for Illustrator and am sure you will too :D.
