Water Tutorial

Water tutorial.

First:
Make a background that resembles woodthats a seperate tutorial)

Next create a new layer on top of the wood background. Next you need a path/selection of what you want to make water. You can either draw a selection or create one from another photoshop document, and drag it over to this project. In this example I had a pic of a lady that I made a selection around her, and drug the SELECTION over to my wood panel.

Keeping the cutout selection, Fill the selection with ANY COLOR.

On the layers palete, drop the FILL all the way down to 0 on the selection layer. All you should see is the marching ants.

Now add a layer style. Bevel and Emboss.

Be sure you UNCHECK USE GLOBAL LIGHT, and move the angle close to the center.
Bump down the shadow opacity so its not so harsh. You can also adjust the SIZE, SOFTEN, and DEPTH.

Here is another example

That's about it really. You can actually now paint on this layer with a hard edged brush to make more drops, water rings, etc.

This tutorial is also a rush job ...sorry I'm at work. :/

I'll work through my instructions to make sure they work....make sure I didn't miss anything.
