The "new" Queen...

Any Queen fans out there?

Recently, the band joined up with Paul Rogers (of Bad Company) and went on tour...

The live tour CD came out on Tuesday (9-13), and I went ahead and picked it up...

You know, I wasn't expecting much...to me, there has never been and never will be another rock music entertainer like Freddy Mercury. But I was pleasantly surprised that the live CD didn't SUCK, hehe... It definitely wasn't Freddy, but Paul did a good job, and I would've like to have seen the concert (except they were ALL in Europe...which almost didn't stop me, just the lack of money did, hehe)...

Just wondering if anyone else out there has heard it, and what they thought!

"Empty spaces - what are we living for
Abandoned places - I guess we know the score
On and on
Does anybody know what we are looking for

Another hero another mindless crime
Behind the curtain in the pantomime
Hold the line
Does anybody want to take it anymore

The show must go on
The show must go on
Inside my heart is breaking
My make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on

Whatever happens I'll leave it all to chance
Another heartache another failed romance
On and on
Does anybody know what we are living for
I guess I'm learning
I must be warmer now
I'll soon be turning round the corner now
Outside the dawn is breaking
But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free

The show must go on
The show must go on - yeah
Ooh inside my heart is breaking
My make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on

Yeah, oh oh oh

My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairy tales of yesterday will grow but never die
I can fly - my friends

The show must go on - yeah
The show must go on
I'll face it with a grin
I'm never giving in
On with the show

I'll top the bill
I'll overkill
I have to find the will to carry on
On with the
On with the show

The show must go on, go on, go on, go on, ..."

I read an interview with Brian May recently, and he was very excited about the direction the band was going. I would definitely like to hear what they are doing .

I read about the "reunion" tour they were going on a few months ago...I was a little wary, cause, seriously...no one can replace Mercury. But the live CD is pretty decent. I think they could continue on and make NEW music and be a successful band... Paul Rogers has a good voice, and as long as they don't try to remake what they once had, I think Queen could do well for itself again...

*shrugs* ;)
