I bought the DVD, Season 1...we've started watching it, but only got through the pilot so far...it was pretty nifty though...looking forward to seeing the rest! I wanna know what's in the forest! ;)
But I did get that whole "Survivor" feeling from the concept...I'm just glad they didn't try to make it more "reality", like...Blair Witch, I guess...where the whole thing is being taped by another person on the island who had a camera...that would have taken it too much into the reality TV, which I don't care for...
I'm also curious how they made more than one season of this, cause it's just about people who went down in a plane...but I'm sure that it explains why no one is looking for them, and all that jazz...

Is anyone else watching this show? This is another one that I thought might be lame but it turns out is not so lame! The advertising for it when it first started was gay...they kept calling it a "reality tv show with a script" which is stupid...I guess they were trying to play off Survivor or something. Mike and I have been watching the entire first season (on DVD). It is really a pretty unusual sorta show. It scares me but I dig it anyway. It's like Fantasy Island meets Survivor I guess...but it isn't a reality show at all.
Thoughts?

I saw all of season 1 as it aired... so I was definitely watching when Season 2 started. Great stuff.

I watched all of season 1, and am of course watching it this season. It's a good show, but it can really fuck with your head.

Watched it as it aired, was my favorite show last year and couldnt wait for the first one this year, I'll be watching it all year again.

I'm also curious how they made more than one season of this, cause it's just about people who went down in a plane...but I'm sure that it explains why no one is looking for them, and all that jazz...

I was reading a lost forum, trying to get other people's theories* about what the hell is going on, and one thing I noticed is that there is practically a civil war going on between the "jaters" and the "skaters", which are, obviously, teenage girls that fantasize about either jack/kate or sawyer/kate.
I think it is obvious from Kate's past and upbringing that she is going to be drawn to the badboys, and that is exactly what Sawyer is. However, I think she, like most characters on the show, has come to a point where she is starting to rethink her life and the choices that she has made. I think she is going to fight against her undeniable attraction to Sawyer and end up with Jack, who would be much better for her.

I am. It's a fun show, kind of like 24 with a grand heist theme mixed in. I haven't ep06 yet, but I've got it downloaded and will be watching it tonight.

I think she'd go for Jack...he's more like her ex. I personally would go for Sawyer...but that's just because I dig dimples. I bet he's better in bed too.
