All I heard was, "It's great, you'll love it."

Well, guess what.

It's great.

I'm not going to say it's the best science fiction movie, ever.

Oh, wait. Yes I am.

I think I am going to agree.

*smiles* I thought it was kind of touching that he said that Serenity was the sort of movie he wanted Ender's Game to be...though he also sounded...resigned in a way I guess. He's been trying to get EG made into a movie for so many years now :\.

Yeah I'm glad he's being protective of Ender's Game though...cause if they messed it up that would just suck. It was interesting to read his opinion of Serenity though...to know someone whose work you respect also enjoys the same sort of television and movies that you do is kinda neat. (Notice he mentioned both Lost and Friends in there...more of my favs)

Whedon had it a bit easier...his story was meant for the screen (big or little), he wrote it for that purpose... Card wrote Ender's Game for publication...which means that it's going to lose something in translation to the big screen, which always makes fans of the book upset. Even the best translation will ALWAYS leave something out, because a movie can only be so long, where people will sit down and read through an 800 page book without much thought about length...

Still, we can hope. ;)
