How is lamaze? I didn't take it. I just watched Gilligan's Island on my room tv and napped during contractions. Epidural is your friend.

didnt do lamaze either, always wondered if it would have helped at all. I didnt get my epi until after at least 24 hours of labor (once they pretty much figured the little monster wasnt gonna come out willingly). Got the staydal (spellling?) though about 18 hours in once they started giving me the stuff to speed everything up....could still feel the contrations but that shit gets you so high you don't care if it hurts.

Well from what I've heard they don't help during the actual labour but they help keep you calm beforehand. I wasn't going to take it either cause it seemed like such a waste of time but my mother-in-law made the point that extra learning never hurts so I'm gonna go, if only for the experience of it...and to laugh at Mike making funny breathing noises.

We plan to go see the movie after our class I think. It'll be a nice end to the day :)
