My brother wanted me to pre-order five. I told him to go F himself.
I have no desire to get one because I'm just not impressed with the game selection.
But I hope you enjoy yours :)

The GameStops in my area were allowing only 1 reservation per customer. If I could have paid for 2, I would have. Could have made a nice profit on ebay with the system shortages.
Seems that most stores like Target and Walmart are only getting 8 or 10 systems. Most of the GameStops and EBGames in my area were only getting that many as well. Thankfully, the store I used to work at had about 150 reservations (1st wave and 2nd wave combined) so they manged to get a whopping 30 systems and was the only store in the district to do a midnight release. I was reservation #18 and had mine paid off, lucky me.
Meanwhile, fools are camping out in the bitter cold with blankets and tents at Best Buy and Target.
Frankly, there isn't anything I want to play on it right now either ... but there will be. Elder Scrolls looks badass, but they pushed back the release to March. Everything that I wanted to play that was SUPPOSED to come out this holiday season has been pushed back ... Zelda, Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls. Bastards.
The husband bought Call of Duty 2, so he's happy. I'm playing DragonQuest VIII on the PS2, which is moderately entertaining but only a mediochre RPG compared to other things.
At least there are good movies in the theaters, because the game selection this holiday season sucks.

Meh....
Artificial supply to get the system more press than it would have otherwise gotten. What is the killer game that came out with it? *crickets* Yeah that is one reason why I'm not worried about getting one.

I just don't trust the quality of hardware that MS uses in their initial batch of systems. The original Xbox had some breakdown problems with systems that had cheaper parts. At the same time, all the games that lookdecent right now are available on other systems/pc.
Plus, the big thing with me... $400 is just a bit too much for a console system. Especially after MS has already voluntarily cut the lifespan of one of their systems. Who's to say they won't do it again?
