Ellis - heavy images (Finished)

This is by Julie of http://www.jsantart.com . She said she was bored. Now come on, who says this to me, she who has 10 million pieces of art dedicated to her characters?:teehee I'm not proud, but it did turn into a commission =D She lurks and she'll see this, but she's already correcting a bit. I'll edit in the finished piece =D

Thanks Julie! :woot

Wow Roz...that's really fabulous. It's really interesting seeing the transition too. Looks like a hell of a lot of hours went into that, but the results should make you proud!

That is nice label on the barrels, excellent addition, and so is the graffiti and Julie's came out better than mine ( though Jan says Tacharan 4 ever! is still an excellent message. ;) )

Its lovely, in a dark, sinister Ellis kind of way.

Hot damn! Not much else to say about it, its just... hot damn, you know? XD The rat is my favorite part! ^_~

Lol, I wonder what the record for most character related art work is.

And damn she's good at shading breasts.

Haha, I was thinking that myself. *big time envy of the boobie shading skillz*

I am quite vain with my characters =x Although Maelarya still has more artwork done about her than Ellis does. =D

Is that a hint? LOL

Heh, you are making it look easy. And not like someone just straped flesh colored bumpy bits to some poor person's torso.

You are not gonna make me want to spend the rest of the night trying to make boobs happen! *whimpers* Ah jeez, you did. Not nice.

*goes off to find someone to strap bumpy bits to*

How big did you paint this Julie? I have one I'm working on at 1000 or so and it makes my tools do the float and "please wait" thing O_O
Julie 20 years ago
well the boobs there are working size :)

the full image is 3600 x 4444. if you have a brush in painter that has lag switch to one that doesnt. The brushes that wait for you to finish an entire stroke before rendering are the worst. I use a custom oil pastel and soft blender stump almost exclusively.

Holy Cow, my computer would cry!

It finally froze up on the 1000 px one and the mafia browsers I had up but I don't think I had done much fiddling on the picture today anyway since mafia has taken up my time so hopefully I didn't lose much of it.

That's it a need a new computer.

The details look awesome, I always like looking at those becaues things like scratchs on the barrel and shines on the buckels are there and you'd notice if they weren't but in the over all picture they are only background to the main focus. It all looks so neat too even that close up. My painter work always seems messy.
Julie 20 years ago
dont be concerned about being messy. you can have a loose style but still accurately portray a mood or a composition. fully fleshed artwork is a style but its not the only one.

this pic is exceedingly messy (loose) but its still one of my favs : http://www.jsantart.com/sketches/samuraiwoman.jpg

BUT it does help to start out large so that details can be brought in later. my min canvas size is 3k x 3k.

Thank ya, Julie :) I might pull my painter back out and try to get used to using it :)
Julie 20 years ago
