History: Thad developed an aptitude for music at a very young age. His parents (who were well-to-do) encouraged this went to great lengths to find him the best tutors that money could buy. Thaddeus could ‘feel’ the emotions and the technique used by those who had played the instrument in its history. Thus, the older the instrument, the better he played. His tudors described his musical ability as gifted, for he could enthrall those around him with his playing.
Thad sweated his OWL’s big time as his parents pressured him do well to uphold the family name. The results were unexpected, as he got an outstanding in Divination (a discipline he deplored). He also did well in Charms. The other disciplines he did average to slightly above average. This worried him because his passion was music (which offered him limited career opportunities).
As a Slytherin, Thaddeus was unusual. He was well liked by those outside of his house (much to the chagrin of his peers). His friendly manner (and the ability to woo the girls with his music) made him a likable fellow of influence. He often wondered why the sorting hat placed him in house Slytherin.

She met Gannon the one and only person she could ever call friend. She found most of the students in Slytherin were very much like her and they accepted her, a feeling she was not used to. She enjoyed taunting Hufflepuff’s and belittling Gryffindor’s with them, much more then her home life prison.

Her friends call her Em. She’s tall for her age with a tendency toward clumsiness. Her school robes, shirt and skirt are the highest quality available from Madame Maklin’s in Diagon Alley, though they usually look like she slept in them and her knee socks look a bit too short for her long legs. Em is a metamormagus but only shows off this unusual talent to her closest friends.

Emeraude’s father is a pureblood, and her mother a half blood, which would make Em ¾ pureblood, a detail her father had forbidden her to speak of. She never cared much about bloodlines, unlike her fanatic father who had been in Slytherin as a schoolboy and also refuses to acknowledge the muggle-born descendants on his late wife’s side of the family. An unknown masked-wizard of the Dark Arts killed Em’s mother, Mim Scott-Kinaley, before her 3rd year at Hogwarts started, leaving Em lost at home in a big house with a father constantly away for work and their old house elf Kronk as her only companion.
Her Dad, Jack Kinaley, runs the Department of Magical Sports and Games nowadays. He expects perfection from Emeraude and has high hopes that she will be as successful as he is when she exits Hogwarts. Because of this, he insists that Em stay at Hogwarts during holidays. Em suspects that her close resemblance to her mother is a bigger reason for him not wanting her home.
Em is the smartest in her house of the Ravenclaw 5th years, but often neglects her studies. Her father wants her to be the best at everything so when Em doesn't bring home top marks in her studies, there’s hell to pay in her house, so it’s just as well that Em is only home for the summer holidays. Even then, her father has a governess, a private tutor, and a private flying coach at the Kinaley manor to keep Em miserably busy all summer long.
Em does love to fly, and grudgingly excels in this area, to her father’s delight. She hopes to be the Ravenclaw Quidditch captain before she leaves school.

When he was shipped off to Hogwarts, he thought of it was a chance at a new life: one full of fun and adventure, and not so much studying and math. He was very disappointed to discover that he would never truly escape that spectre of pain and tedium known as math, but he was happy to discover that it had taken a new and more interesting form in Arthimancy, which quickly became his favorite subject. He soon learned to thrive in the Hogwarts environment, and has made outstanding marks in all of his classes.
