I'm going to be pissed off this summer
Going to deploy this summer. Right now it is about 35 degrees outside and that is starting to feel comfortable. Damn another 90 degree on top of that and I'll feel like I'm slow cooking.
Granted for the past month or so it has hovered around 0-20 degrees.

Should be gone like 4-4.5 months. I hope not longer. It really doesn't get to me that I'll be going over there, what gets me is that it will be so damn hot when I get over there.
Consider that the spring thaw(breakup) happens at this time. Even then the temps only hit 55 during the day.

Yeah he's leaving at his 1 year mark of being home. Honestly I can handle 4-6 months, it's the year bullshit that drove me nuts. =(

Well I guess that makes me a wuss...I get antsy if Mike is away for a couple of weeks. I don't think we've been apart longer than that in 13 years and I whined like a little bitch the whole time he was gone!

ewww My hubby leaves to go build sandcastles Dec 28th (his birthday!!) for about 4 months or so. I ALWAYS say "or so", or so they say because it NEVER EVER is the time length they say it will be =(

Good luck over there Veb, and Good luck back at home Roz.
My husband goes on submarines for 3-4 months at a time. He is currently on shore duty, so that just means trips of 2 weeks to 1 month at a time. 2 years till we go back to sea duty.
Homecomings are awesome though. =)
