I just noticed the link when I checked my Gmail today. Who knows how long it's been there and I've just not seen it.

Anyone tried Google Talk yet? I wonder if they'll make it compatible with Trillian.

I'm convinced Google is trying to take over the internet. They're like the Wal-Mart of the world wide web.

I only noticed it on the left sidebar because you mentioned it. If it doesn't do all the IM services, I'm sticking with trillian.

I think the big thing with google talk is the voice chatting. My cousin uses is all the time. I pretty much just stick with trillian... and xfire.

I saw the linky thing earlier this week, but until they make a plugin for Trillian I prolly won't use it...mostly due to the fact that I'd never remember to log in.

Ive had google talk since beta, there was a plugin for it for Pro 3.x but its buggy as all hell. no one i knew used it so i don't use it

Xfire is yet another IM program. Main difference is it also keeps track of what games your playing, total hours spent, what server your friends are on etc.

Handy for gaming.

xfire is the shit for the simple reason it doesnt pop up a huge thing in teh background.just a little thing in the lower right corner of screen that says what they say for a sec and you can hit a keycombo to bring it up above whatever your doing. great for gaming imo
