someting I am workin on. not looking for accuracy to the ref. looking for mood and general feel of the pic. colors....background (or lack thereof) etc. I'll shut up now :)
edit : I've pretty much finished this.. I've tried out the 'glow' for the bottom light. Tried high and low saturation for blue, sea green and purple... not really sure if I am sold on it

Well it looks mysterious and bloody so far as mood goes. Like a more real magic and less ethereal than a lot of pieces involving magic and ritual. That could also be because the model isn't some slip of fae girl either, so she lends an earthyness to it.

got a nearly-almost-kinda-sorta finished maybe thing posted.

I think Julie needs to add the TAC tee shirt in there. ;)
Its looking awesome Julie! Her had on the dagger does look like the grip should be changed, maybe curled under a bit more. The arm up to the elbow would then look right, I think. I'm sure you'll work it out with the handy dandy Roz Reference Guide! (you should look into opening a business, Mae, that could go some place...online special request reference guide for artists, send in a form and we'll send you back some reference photos. Sorry,no p0rn requests. )

The face in the clouds is excellent, the whole piece looks great to me. I like the idea of the blue glow but it covers up the depth of the circle carving to me.

Those totally look like my elbows!!!! :teehee The left hand looks more proportioned to the right now. I'm not sure I dig the blue though. The primal red and dark colors seems to really give it more of that raw feeling. The blue looks distracting. I like the face but I think more shadows in the background, deepening the look would be moving.
