Name: Elise Meyr
Age: 16
Appearance: Elise is small but athletic and energetic. She has a little ski-jump nose set below wide caramel-colored eyes, and full lips which are often framing a wide smile. Her chin and jaw are delicate. Her light brown hair is worn loose to the middle of her back unless she's playing Quidditch, and then it's bound into a french (Scene 6)braid.
Height: 5'0"
House: Gryffindor (scene 6)
Year: 5th
Favorite Subject: Transfiguration (scene 2 and 6)
History: Elise was born to a wizarding family and has grown up with magic permeating every aspect of her life. Even so, her parents find it useful to gain accurate knowledge of the world around them so they encouraged all of their children to study and interact with Muggles. As a result, Elise is used to all kinds of things magical and non-magical, and it's difficult to surprise her. She's very studious, loves school, and adores charms (scene 5 & 6), buts finds her talents best suited to Transfiguration. Her goal is to become a registered Animagus, and her favored form is the lion. She also loves to fly and makes an excellent Beater (scene 2 & 6) for Gryffindor.
Contents of your school satchel or backpack: Transfiguration and charms books, a folder with an essay on turning toadstools into toads (scene 1 & 3), some Droobles' chewing gum, 3 knuts and a sickle, a notebook, and a small pocket-reference of the history of Quidditch.

Read the first paragraph in the last mafia hit - there is your prefect clue. It's huge.
Also I know the sheriff and her ID came back positive.
The first paragraph depicts the exact duties of a prefect, and notes their lacking compared to the students safety. THere is only one prefect bio left.
This is on topp of the numorous "clumsy" clues, the other clues others ahve pointed out, and the fact that her ID came back as "mafia".
I don't see how someone else is the frontrunner. Your posts lately have been extremely deflective which I find interesting.
Here:
One would think that –someone- would care about all the students wandering out after hours, breaking rules…killing each other…but so far it seemed the staff wasn’t taking any extra measures at all. Perhaps they were all under a spell of some sort?
Hi2u Prefect
I'd swear you were mafia Pooka if only there were horse clues everywhere

What music? Also, Thaddeus already died of natural causes and the person with the opera mother turned out to be a soap opera star. If we're townies, we need to stick together today because our numbers may be smaller.
P.S. Dexter, I know you're probably sore at me for the time I voted for you, but you need to look at the clues and not be clouded by your personal alliances. This person who has persuaded you that they are the sheriff is probably lying. The first lynch very strongly hinted that the sheriff is already dead.

I'm not upset at all that you voted for me ;p It helped keep me alive.
I also fully realize this person could lying to me, and I go over clues for that person also daily. I don't see how you say my judgement is clouded though if you look soley at clues Em still has more pointing at her then Elise. I agree about sticking together - it's why I haven't voted yet.

We also have to consider that the clues are coming from the scenario and profiles, not from the potter universe in general. Where are the duties of a prefect outlined on this board?
P.S. It has been my sad experience that someone doesn't have to be mafia to lie about being the sheriff. I find it the most puzzling phenomenon.

The "universe" we are playing in is defined in the books, not this board.
The sheriff point is irrelevant.

Okay, here is Em's bio.
I guess "Emeraude" is also a green stone. The "burning" does draw my eye. Well, lets see what the other townies think.
Name: Emeraude Kinaley
Age: 15
Appearance: A spunky adolescent from Ireland with smoky hazelnut eyes, a flippy mop of caramel hair, a sprinkle of freckles across her nose and cheeks, and a mischievous crooked smile. Her friends call her Em. She’s tall for her age with a tendency toward clumsiness [scene #?]. Her school robes, shirt and skirt are the highest quality available from Madame Maklin’s in Diagon Alley, though they usually look like she slept in them and her knee socks look a bit too short for her long legs. Em is a metamormagus but only shows off this unusual talent to her closest friends. Okay, this may have to do with the bit about disorganization in the 2nd or 3rd hit
Height: 5’8”
House: Ravenclaw
Year: 5th, Prefect (I'm not as fond of the prefect clue)
Favorite Subjects: Charms (scenes 5 & 6), Flying (scene 6)
Hobby: She's a quidditch seeker for Ravenclaw. Her father played Keeper for Ireland so she kind of got forced into this hobby. She enjoys it nonetheless.
History:
The Kinaley family is of really old and noble Irish blood. Emeraude’s father is a pureblood, and her mother a half blood, which would make Em ¾ pureblood, a detail her father had forbidden her to speak of. She never cared much about bloodlines, unlike her fanatic father who had been in Slytherin as a schoolboy and also refuses to acknowledge the muggle-born descendants on his late wife’s side of the family. An unknown masked-wizard of the Dark Arts killed Em’s mother, Mim Scott-Kinaley, before her 3rd year at Hogwarts started, leaving Em lost at home in a big house with a father constantly away for work and their old house elf Kronk as her only companion.
Her Dad, Jack Kinaley, runs the Department of Magical Sports and Games nowadays. He expects perfection from Emeraude and has high hopes that she will be as successful as he is when she exits Hogwarts. Because of this, he insists that Em stay at Hogwarts during holidays. Em suspects that her close resemblance to her mother is a bigger reason for him not wanting her home.
Em is the smartest (thoughsmart isn't a much better clue than tall) in her house of the Ravenclaw 5th years, but often neglects her studies. Her father wants her to be the best at everything so when Em doesn't bring home top marks in her studies, there’s hell to pay in her house, so it’s just as well that Em is only home for the summer holidays. Even then, her father has a governess, a private tutor, and a private flying coach at the Kinaley manor to keep Em miserably busy all summer long.
Em does love to fly, and grudgingly excels in this area, to her father’s delight. She hopes to be the Ravenclaw Quidditch captain before she leaves school.
She was born a metamormagus but never really likes to show that side to people, out of fear of being teased. Despite all of her insecurities, however, Em is popular in school. She’s witty and quick with a joke, and is always surrounded by friends. Getting the Prefect badge this year helped to boost her self-confidence.
Emeraude has made a burning (scene 5) vow to herself to find out who killed her mom and bring them to justice.
Contents of your school satchel or backpack:
Wand (Willow, 12.5 inches, leprechaun hair core)
Honeydukes candy wrappers
Biscuit crumbs
Crumpled parchment
Self-inking quills
A worn copy of ‘Advanced Charms, Grade 5’
Several other texts covered in doodles but otherwise looking brand new
A pair of mismatched knee socks
A small container of beeswax lip balm
A tattered notebook containing quidditch strategies and formations
A copy of her school marks with an angry note from her father scribbled at the bottom
A small pamphlet titled “Being a Hogwarts Prefect – How to lead by example.”
I guess "Emeraude" is also a green stone. The "burning" does draw my eye. Well, lets see what the other townies think.

Vulash, the universe is defined by the board. That's made very clear in the FAQ. My point about the sheriff is that just because your informant is not mafia doesn't mean they are telling the truth. I still think the case against Elise is stronger.

The mods can change whatever they need to make the story fit, but that doesn't suddenly mean that the definition of a prefect in a HP theme game is a giant purple elephant with a hard on looking for a hooker in downtown los angelos.
Good find on the burning clue, I hadn't seen that. I'm not sure how you think Elise is more convincing especially given the new clues you've found for Emeraulde. That isn't to say Elise is innocent, but we should lynch the one with the biggest clues.
The ONLY thing that Emeraulde has supporting her is the fact that she voted for Poppy early on - and then per the death scene it made Poppy look like she was indeed mafia - and the fact that she wanted to defend Roz early on.

Need to also bold the part about "tall" and this entire line
Em is a metamormagus but only shows off this unusual talent to her closest friends
Per the "how did you get that?" "oh I have my ways"

Didn't the tall clue come from an interpretation of the mafia's appearance relative to a rat? reference on the lip balm?

but we didn't actually lynch egon. sorry for the one hand typing here. we lynched simon for being tall and it was a mistake. A forum search on "balm" only brought up this thread, ooc 4, and the character bio thread. Is there a quote from a kill scene? Like the music clue, sometimes we get in our heads that something is a clue and it was just seeded by an error or a deliberate ruse by the mafia.
P.S. I'm afraid I'll be mostly gone for a while.

nothing big, but today the mention of "balmy" in a line that totally didn't even need to be included in the scene.
Np - I won't be long either after I finish this pizza. My car died I have to fix it, and it's cold - feel sorry for me.
