I feel for you, for my xmas present someone hacked my WoW guilds website and screwed it up. Luckily they were able to restore it from a backup from this morning so not too many posts were lost. Dumb kids.

Yeah looks like we just have to run a restore then upgrade to the latest version of php to fix that particular security issue. Still way too many security issues with php though, you'd swear they were owned by Microsoft or something :)

Sorry to hear about your boards, Mael. It just kills me how some morons have nothing better to do than destroy other people's stuff.

That's a HUGE reason why I switched. Vbulletin costs bucks but it's worth it for the support and the 154 million things i can do with the boards.

If the guild was still alive I'd consider it. Just like the restore. My host has a good backup from right before it happened (12/20). We last backed it up ourselves in June =D

We're gonna use our June backup rather than my host's because they will charge 50 bucks for the backup if they do theirs, and all there has been in about a year really is PMs. We're just gonna back up to our last one and upgrade the php version.

Ahh my hosting company didnt charge me anything they just restored it from a backup from like 2am the same day and I updated the php software to the current version.

Hmm...I guess I should get Anu to look into updating my boards again. I wouldn't know what to do with it if I was hacked lol.

Steel gets a bumb rap for dropping board accounts /eye Roz, but that was SOP back in the day when Triad was still a raid guild. Now that it isnt, its no big deal. Steel has the most recent database backup between us, so once she restores and updates the software I will hook up anyone that wants their access back.

I only wanted access since I just went over there and saw that Gholam was looking at the boards hehe
