Sig/Magelo WIP
It's been awhile since I've posted here hehe, been busy busy.
Anyway, working on a sig/magelo combo for a friend of mine and her honey. So far I got her sig/magelo together in an orderly fashion, next step is to work on his char hehe. CC please.
I kinda like the faded looking test...but I dunno if I am crazy about the lay out.

you did a really good job on the fur, but im not fond of your text choices. Scriptina is really freakin common on EQ sigs and the guild subtext doesnt really feel fantasy eqish to me. more cartoony. I can't honestly pick a background choice because they both work well, so i'd leave that choice to your friends =)

Whoa, Merreck. The fur is IMPRESSIVE. That's the best eq kitty I've ever seen anyone manip. I'd maybe tone down the spot on her chest and bright her eyes a little.
The text...Scriptina, although pretty, is just so common. Were you staying with white, too? I'd try something with more flare for her name and make her last name smaller. Right now the big curve of the Y is just too distracting, overlapping on the rest of the text. You could always pick a font that has accents for the K and then try something different and smaller with the rest.
Your touch up definitely looks better with each piece, but try using different poses other than just chest high. You don't want your sigs to become cookie cutterish. Half the fun is trying to do something that no one's ever done before, at least it was for me. Sometimes text can be a secondary thing.
:thumbsup Again, beautiful work on the fur and I love the background colors. Very rich and either one blends in but doesn't detract from the toon's armor. =)

the text was a real pain, and since she wanted so much on there, I thought keeping it simpler might be best hehe. I just remebered that she wanted her warder in there lol, so I will be doing to layout differently to include the warder. It should show more of her in the sig.

oooh, Kitty! I like it. It's crisp and bright. My only c/c would be to break down and redo her glowy hand. One thing you could try, to be different, is a planet tutorial in place of the half glow. Or you could just do a half opasity circle and swirl some smoke around it. The sword is a little too bright but again you could give it one of those vibrating shimmery glows. Kitty pet needs a shadow under her too. =)
I really like the text. uh, trajunbricks or something like that, right? Do her name in red or some contrasting colors, the rest looks good just white. :thumbsup

Can you point me in the way of any tutorials to create a vibrating shimmery glow, this sounds interesting?

Oh, uh...let's see. I don't think I've seen a tutorial for something like that, but what I meant was you could be little waves coming off it. Similiar to the warrior epic. What I did was I took a small airbrushed dot. Say 40ish size and then I used WHIRL on it. Kept doing it it until I got a nice faded curved line. Lemme show you.

Granted not exactly like that but I did a bunch of layers, rotating and scaling up or down and duplicated the effect of that epic. Something similar to that, smaller scale, around the sword could give it that vibrating look. Does that make sense?
You could just add a faint glow around it. Duplicate the staff onto its own layer and do blending options, outer glow OR, put another layer between the original staff and dup'd layer of the staff and lay down some airbrushed color in between. That'll give it the outer glow look and you could even swirl it, make it look smokey, whatever.
Lots you can do. Hopefully I didn't confuse you hehe.
