Its good, its very corny, kid actors and stuff, I didnt realize it was rated like PG or pg-13 or whatever it was. The battle scene was pretty awesome, however, waiting 1 hour or 2 to see a 10-15 min fight scene was pretty lame.
I want to see it again only for the fight scene, the rest was eh.
I never read the book but I heard it was pretty acurately displayed.

I read all of them as a child and loved them. I do want to see this one though. Ive heard mixed reviews. Some say its too much like LOTR. I guess if you did'nt know the story it could be similar to the average movie goer. Thanks for the info :)

I read all the books as a kid and saw the film. I think they kept to the major points of the story and it was a decent adaptation; however, it didn't have as much intensity as I remember when reading the books. I enjoyed it, but I'm not building a shrine or anything.

I think if you read the books again you'd find that from an older viewpoint they aren't that intense ;) I thought it was pretty spot on for the book and actually Mike read the book again right after we saw the movie and he felt like he was just rereading the book.

agree gilae at 30 or however old we all are now the books arent as intense as when we were kids...i loved the movie, cuz a scene would come up and before anyone spoke or anything i could remember being 10 yrs old and reading the book and remember what was coming next. So i think it was a pretty good adaptation. I took my 11 yr old and 10 yr old nephew to see it the weekend it opened and they LOVED it. They played "Narnia" all weekend long. I thought the centaurs and all the charactors looked great, Asland rocked.
