Been a while since I drooled over a new Mac announcement

More the whole thing, really. Intel-based Macs have been speculated on for years and years, and only last year were they announced as prototypical reality.

They were released today.

If all my programs could be used on a Mac... I'd use a Mac. As it is, my poor first-gen G4 still sits in my bedroom closet, pulled out only for occasional software updates and nostalgia.

OH hell, I'd use mac too. I'd kill for a purple monitor.

I want a Mac *SO* bad but with a higher price point and then none of my programs working on it or not being available for it (a lot of Poser content isn't) well.. it's just not practical. But damn they're so snazzy looking and I really love the feel of the OS. *sigh*

Hmm makes alot of sense to want to have an X86 based machine running a derivative of Free BSD with little application support and it's overpriced.

I can see the attraction. Im headed over to the online store to order mine now!
