So I was having issues today with my internet connection ..

hmm COMCAST aint so comcastic now huh?

anyone have any free download suggestions of a programs that reads your internet conection speed>?

You wanted a speed test, right? Google dsl speed. And call and complain about your cable maso. Demand that you get credited for today's interruption.
