Note on graphics; The only view in this game is from behind and above your character. Which is perfect because thats how I always played EQ and WoW. While the character choices are not uber beautiful they are still interesting. Its no CoX or EQ2 in creation but I find the models nice. Armor is rather basic and based on type and race, though there are random variations that you can not tell until it is put on. Helms are mostly the suck and you cant disable seeing them. Which is a shame, but such is life.

The world is beautiful. Small yes, but intricate. I did not play last night but I will tonight and post screen shots!

Well I hope I didn't make it sound to glamourous because quite honestly it doesn't compare to EQ in it's prime (everything up to velious). It also probably won't be the type of game that will grip you for an entire year or 6, it also isn't super "pretty" like wow, but it is alot of fun, and has a very traditional D&D feel to it.

heh X bought this and is installing it now. Oblivion was the first choice we bought but he needs a new vid card for it to work decently *sigh* I think he's going to start on Adar since that's the only server we saw mentioned here. I'll watch while he plays and post more =D

got DDO yesterday, and i've been having a blast with it since then..
the tutorial is pretty good, they managed to make it feel like a real pen and paper session..

My name is Clessa Xand - I've been out of town though so haven't been on the last few days

I've been trying out various classes in the tutorial areas I have two keepers so far a Fighter and a barbarian.. so i guess there pretty much in the same vein, going to try a ranger to see if its a fit, but i have my doubts.. never was a sniper type

i did an elven rogue to try it out and like it. Sneaking around is cool. I'm barely past the tutorial and in the first part of the city but i am really liking it! Next up to try is a bard =D

Anyone have pictures from it? I want to see some races! (female style of course hehe) havent seen anyone making signatures really either.

i am currently d/ling the 7 day free trial just impatient =)
