Why do you come to Tac?

You could start up on Azjol Nerub, and raid Wow with us (MAYBE IF WE LET YOU). Or you could just do what you normaly do, roll on the server, get to know some people, make leet sigs and get super popular (because of your personality, but sigs help!). I'm sure that would generate traffic.

I think that if you want to pick up more users you need to create a unifying focus for the board. Before it was EQ art and whatnot. But EQ is for fags so aside from poser made nudity, the art scene has died down. Not that I can help revive it, while I am creative, its just not in the art way.

I really do think though that you should start up in the sig making practice. I know that there would be quite alot of people who will want sigs for their wow character and profile (like magelo). Hell, you don't have to limit yourself to that game! Plus, I always thought that you enjoyed being creative and making sigs.

Elvaiz, when TAC was "Mae's site" (not that she doesn't still own it, but the focus has shifted), yes, the focus was on her game sigs. Now that TAC is a community for sharing the art and writing of many people, focusing on the sale of one person's sigs would take away from the goal of a community. Mae now has ROzbeans.com for her personal art and commissions. She does enjoy being creative and has branched out into 3D art. Her progression has been admirable and she is continuing to develop her skills.

Art is more than creating game sigs. To be an art board and not a sig sales board, we, as a community, need to branch out. People will grow more as artists by trying different mediums and mastering them rather than cornering themselves into manipulating game screenshots.

You know, in a lot of ways I regret making rozbeans.com. There was no point really, I'm not in the sig making business anymore except for the occasional friend who asks (then i'll eventually get around to it). Ry you summarized my art career and the board in one paragraph that honestly doesn't do the past 2 1/2 years any justice.

TAC is still my site and there's nothing WRONG with calling it my site. I'm not ashamed to own it or be the board owner. As much as I was led to believe that there was a stigma attached to being the board owner, I sure as shit don't think that now. TAC's been a community for a full year and I know the difference between being an 'admin' and being the boss and I know I don't do the latter. Hell, TAC belongs to Vex almost as much as it belongs to me. She donated her legal copy of VBulletin to TAC and she didn't have to do that. She could've kept it for her own site but didn't.

Would I like more art on TAC. Sure I would. Do I want it to be like Norrath Studios. No, I don't. Conceptart.org? Hell no. If TAC is home for some people, I'm alright with that. I wish TAC could have a little more art, and maybe with the next big game we will, but really since the core art people aren't MMO'ing, the inspiration is gone. Guess I'll just chalk it up to it being a lull right now for art.

We are considering making a unified entry point for both TAC and SA. Both links would lead to one entry and the user would have a choice. I dont know, we'll see. Whatever happens with TAC, I'll still privately think it's kinda cool that something good was built up out of a fucking angry red crayon.

I'll get back to arting more once I actually clear out my deadlines a bit. On average, I work for about 4 weeks straight then get a few days to rest... then it kicks up all over again. lol

Hell, half the time these days I don't even get to read most boards much less post.
