Jesus I just ate $22 dollars worth of sushi. Mike I'm sorry, I couldn't help it. I'll scratch your back for 2 hrs tonight. I've been craving this shit ALL month. I'm so happy. This is worth all the food poisoning I'll probably get from it.

When I was an assistant and someone asked me to get them a coffee I kindly pointed them towards the coffee machine and not so kindly, yet in a joking manner, suggested what they could do with the grinds :)

*nods* One of my first jobs was as a exec secretary to a company vp, who happened to be a woman...we took turns making the coffee, until she realized I never drank it, then she made it all the time herself :)

I think it's an outdated custom...personal assistants do that kind of thing but admins, not so much.

you should move down here Roz... we have all you can eat buffets everywhere and I know of at least 3 chinese ones off the top of my head with sushi on them. I don't eat fish so no big deal to me.

Our company has a service make huge pots of coffee for each floor. There is also tea and hot water, juices, soda, gatoraide, water in bottles, tiny bags of chips, cookies and granola bars along with whole fruits (apples, oranges, bananas) in each pantry.

damn!! I didn't think those places really exist.. We were watching Boston Legal watching them get milk and cereal and all that provided and I thought it was fantasy... I need to work where you do! Here we get... coffee.

The company I work for provides soft drinks, snapple, juices, cheeses, snacks, cookies, fruit, coffee, cocoa, and various other things for us all. Someone hits up Costco once a month and brings in a huge supply of stuff. Then each quarter we all go out to lunch on the boss, for birthdays, and we also get $25 GC for our favorite places. What's nice is that the people I work for are nice as well, I get paid a good salary, and have good health and retirement benefits on top of it all. The package is really a good one.

Yes please share, I think I may need a career change...! I'm tired of working in a dirty chemical plant where we get nothing but coffee and do nothing for birthdays and.. well.. it's a lot suckier than y'alls companies, for sure =p
