You WILL read! For those interested in playing the next Mafia, it will be based on THE STAND by Stephen King. We're inviting those who are gonna get their mafia on to read the book and have a googly great time discussing in in conjunction with the killings.

Pfft, the movie. I hate tv movies based on books. They slaughtered IT. =( For the game it's not required and as always there will be a quickie cliff note version of the book. It's the basic good vs evil. East vs west. But this is a nice tie in with the book club, that section down there (points down) that needs more action!

I've never read the book, but I do have the movie on DVD. I rather liked how they did it, but without reading the book I have nothing to compare it to. I would think for playing the Mafia it would be a good enough basis, no?

I liked the movie too, even if it wasn't as detailed as the book, nor near as scary.
