Your View - (formerly 'i'm bored')

Which means I want to make something other than art. Let's open a new section, any suggestions?

EDIT:

So maybe not a new section but a neat idea. Post a pic of your view, any view but make it interesting.

So here's a funny story. I happened to be sitting at reception one day when one of the girls was having people in to interview. This guy comes in and he's WAY hot so I IM my girlfriend who works here and tell her "holy crap, Faith is interviewing this totally hot dude!" and my friend says "what does he look like??!!"...cause we really need some new eye candy in our office. We're in short supply recently.

Anyway I'm like "HEY! I JUST GOT A NEW CAMERA PHONE! I'LL TAKE A PHOTO!" I was in a nerdy mood and bored sitting at reception. So I am all quiet and sneaky about it and slowly raise my phone over the edge of the reception desk and push the button to take a picture....and then there was this loud CLICK...you know, like a picture being taken. The guy turns around and looks at me and I'm all "dum de dum" like I'm examining my phone or some other lame shit.

If they hire this guy I'll have to tell him the story hehe But anyway, here's the photo I took...and some of our front lobby.

Yeah you'll just have to take my word for it...he's a hotty...but short of asking him to pose, I wasn't going to try again lol
Rikr 19 years ago
You should have mumbled something like.."ooooh yeah, I got you now." Then take his pic as he looked your way.

ROFL I'll try that next time. What's he gonna do, really?

House views...

From my bedroom:

South east side. Neighbor's yard. The sand spot would have become our pool. The little brown triangle in the corner near the fence is part of Mom's garden.

South side. This is the house we moved out of, to move into our current house. It is actually basically a duplex; we lived on the other, not visible side.

Southwest side. The telephone pole in the center has a street light. Every night it beams through my window, right into my face. My bed is the same height as the window sill, giving me a great view :\ Frustratingly, the house with the cement paved driveway just past the house pictured to the left, used to have a tree that blocked it! Bastards cut it down.

View through my brother's windows. All we can really see through them is our two huge pine trees.

Northeast side, opposite my side of the room. The pickup and jeep don't move, and in the corner next to the shed is an assload of car junk. *cries*

North side. The Buick in the center is my car. 195600 miles. The white one is my mom's; the blue one is my brother's. The house pictured is the house my mom mows the lawn of every week... it's also the house of the grandmother of the "girl next door" that I went out with a few times.

Northwest side. As you can see, we're rather patriotic, with our own mounted flag hanging. You can see the landing of Dad's ramp, and my sister's Bronco. She's pulling out on her way to work.

11:30pm at night.

Very pretty where you live Roz....but damn that sun at 11:30 PM. I don't know how you handle that. I would have spray paint and trash bags all over my windows.

Roz, that wouldnt happen to be Base Housing would it? Because despite the time it looks errily like my view was years ago on GFAFB in ND. *shudders and tries to block out the 4 years of hell*
ROzbeans 19 years ago
Yup, elmendorf afb housing. It's alright, at least we get a treeline view.
Calimaryn 19 years ago
Wow. Thats frightening really. I looked at that tiny pic and said "oh man thats a base housing set up". hehe

Lived with that tree line type view myself though we did not have nice fences like that since we had to put them up ourselves. Since I dont recognize the name Elmendorf you probably dont have any KC-135's there. hehe Which is why the (not then)ex went from Castle to Grand Forks.

I've always liked military housing. I guess I was blessed on the 5 years on Whidbey Island.
ROzbeans 19 years ago
Were you there when they tore down all the old housing and put up new ones, Mira? It's totally different now.

I'll have to sneak my digital camera into work one of these days for office pics. Our company has policies against them in the office. Anyway, here is a pic of my desk at home...

Edit: Good god, mylec - attaching the herkin pic! - roz
