I love the colors! The borders are very nice too. I dont see any flaws in your design, but if you want to spice it up you could find some sort of javascript or dhtml script to rotate through those top 4 images.
if you need help making a news script, JUST ASK. i do it all the time for the folks around here, and well.. anywhere else. I'd be happy to implement one for you. It'd only take a few minutes too ;) Same with the contact script. Easy stuff for me ;)
really good job ;)
Cross Posting - New Layout
I know some of yas don't visit smmo, so cross posting to get as much insight as possible!
It's not 100% finished. There is still a couple things I want to do like add a mail form in the contacts section, and one day get a news portal thing up there...but that requires PHP knowledge, and I am not there yet hehe.
I'd like the request CC on the overall layout and I'd also like to know if there are any errors I have overlooked. IE is my web browser so all my "testing" has been done there.
Thanks in advance! -> merreck.com :D

I use Mozilla:
Do you see where I circled? There are blocks of missing images. And I still say you should charge at least $25 for a sig!

Thanks for the offer! I will definitely be hitting you up for help with the mail form hehe. I was looking for a script to make the magelo and sig pop ups be fixed to the image size. I checked out the site but I couldn't get the script to work. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I built this in frontpage.
It was pointed out that the page is displaying all janky in firefox, all of the slices are spaced way apart. I don't know if it is worth fixing since it works fine for IE, or if fixing it will eff it up in IE...humm.
Thanks again for the feedback! :D
*edit* I installed firefox to look for myself, and was horrified by the way it looked! hehe

Weird, cuz I use Mozilla Firefox and it looks fine. Like I said on SMMO, I am in love with the colors! I would really like to see you implement an actual gallery of some kind once you get everything else set the way you like. Coppermine is what I use, and I know Vex has some newer one she's been using and happy with too. I just think it helps make things look more organized, and let me tell ya, so much easier to keep things updated. Just an idea for the future ;)

Ok, I fixed the errors in firefox, I had to take out the center alignment (for now) to do it, but it's not all messed up anymore woot! :D
*edit* completely fixed, center aligned and everything, thanks Vex!
I agree with you Eve about the coppermine galleries, they do look more organized, and make uploading new images so much easier. The only thing I didn't like about coppermine is it has all the stuff up top for people to create accounts, and the new/random images at the bottom. I'll have to read into it some more and see about it in the future though. For now, I spent to much time cutting up those thumbnails to loose them so quickly lol.

Well, you can ditch all the random crap at the bottom; I just did that a lil while ago myself. As for the thumbnails you just did, enjoy them now, but know that with one of these galleries, you'd never have to do that again ;)

Ooo, I'll definitely be looking into that in the future then. As proud as I am over my ghetto gallery, those thumbnails were a pain in the ass....so was getting that script to work which opens up the images into a pre-sized fixed window. All that's keeping me sane right now is that I keep reassuring myself that this is a good learning experience! hehe :P
