I just want to know this... Why is this crap "news"?!

Last night watching NCIS and House there were News 'commercials' with breaking poll news. Fine, great. But also there was one 'commercial' for whatever talkshow host that had her on and the clip about them breaking up. I mean honestly who REALLY gives a flying fuck?!

KFed is now saying that he wants sole custody of the children, and that he'll fight for the well being of the kids.

I don't know if he has sole custody of his other kids, but if he doesn't have a very stable income his chances aren't looking so hot.

Yeah right, this from the man who says if he's fighting with his wife, he just goes out and party because he can't deal with it. Yeah, let's give him children. He really wants to care for them, not just suck his ex dry for child support.

Not to mention the fact that the kids are 1 year old and a few months old. That's a lot of responsibility. I don't have kids yet, but baby sat enough to realize that just one kid is a handfull, let alone two that close together in age.

I don't want to be the ass, but obviously a lot of people do give a flying fuck or it wouldn't be top news :P They don't pick out the storeis based on what they want to talk about, but rather on what gets the most ratings - so the blame is with people.

That doesn't make it less sad, saying its news because there are so many goofs in the world who find that kind of thing interesting.

Interesting sure. Probably news on say Entertainment Tonight. But to cut in on the oh so exciting political updates with it struck me as unnecessary. But thats just my opinion.

It isn't that I disagree with you Cali - I don't really care either becasue I don't get into the celeb thing. It's just that everytime a thread like this starts several people throw out proclamations of "who cares" when obviously millions do - whether justified, or right or wrong or not, they do.

Even though I don't get into Celeb stuff I do have to say that if the ONLY thing that was ever breaking news was the most horrific story of the hour it would be a pretty bleak world. I don't think people want to see horror stories of Iraq, or deep political scheming constantly, and sometimes a pure entertainment "break" is a good thing. It doesn't mean people don't know what is going on overseas or in politics, just that they don't want to dwell on it.

I remember after 9/11 it wsa the ONLY thing on the news for days. I sympathized, and it was a horrible thing, but after a few hours I knew everything I was going ot learn about it, and to keep seeing it over and over and the same images and reports with nothing new over and over was just morbid. Obviously thigns developed and new things came about, but most of it was just repeating stuff because of our "stare at that accident scene" response to things and if anyone had spoken out or not shown this stuff nonstop they'd have been labeled as noncaring.

I think my issue is, to find stuff like this interesting is one thing, but when all you hear on several news stations, and read all over the internet is stuff about this kid, it's just way too much.

So - okay...they're splitting up - BIG surprise. I think the only surprise there is that it took this long. But whatever...it's done. After hearing that much I don't see where any further interest comes from. I felt the same way with the 'almost baby dropping' incident. Hell...I actually DID drop my daughter...it happens...but the way everyone went on and on about the girl, you'd have thought she was the worst mother in history.

But of course, that's just me, and I'm sure there are things I find interesting that a lot of others don't.
