They showed the trailer for this during Heros. X and I just sat there slack jawed, looked at each other and both went WHOA. We even had friends calling us Like DID YOU SEE THAT???

This movie looks a-fucking-mazing. I go stupid giggly crazy over Greek mythology and history so I am allll over this.

I was freaking out on my friend, telling to her buy her tickets quick! 7pm on a saturday? Oh it's gonna be hella crowded, I'm so glad we fandango'd. IM SO EXCITED!

well since there's no way i'm working a full day tomorrow, and X is in training we're gonna go see an early afternoon showing of this tomorrow. I am SOOOO excited!

Wanted to do a double feature of Serenity and 300 tonight but the husband was tired. Plan on seeing it sometime this weekend.

i can't find words for it, you should just be beaten to death i guess.

LOL -- ANY movie that has a lot of fighting, and battles, is almost guaranteed to make me sleepy. Just not my cuppa. But I keep on trying, hoping I'll find one interesting enough to keep me awake.

I really enjoyed it. It did take a few departures from the comic by adding in all those scenes with the queen, but it didn't detract from the movie too much for me.

They softened Leonidas a bit in the movie though. He was even more of a hard-ass in the comics.

But overall, I liked it a lot. Excellent casting.

I enjoyed it as well, and only dozed a little bit during the first battle scene. Overall I thought the fighting was interesting the way they did it. I also though a lot of the overall scenes were pretty cool too...like the ocean, etc. Nice man chests, and a few girly chests thrown in for interest as well. Thumbs up!

I turned to my girlfriend about 30 mins into it and said, 'Good gravy' during one of the scenes with the mens! /purr

Outstanding movie.

awesome. tons of eye candy!!! though i was diplomatic enough to not point that out to my date!!! i don't think he would have appreciated it... *grin*

i generally don't like movies that are lots of battle scenes (i skip through entire segments of Troy) but this one had enough variety that it kept me interested during those scenes. we expected ALOT more blood - on of the reviews we read pegged it as a blood bath.

at one point every woman in the audience actually cheered (and those who have seen it can probably guess which scene would cause that reaction!!!).

i think this one will make it into my DVD collection when it comes out.

LOL, I didn't say that to mean I fell asleep watching it, I said it to mean that I saw the previews and wasn't impressed.

Before everyone screams... YES, the cinematography looked decent, and I'm sure it has a lot of action.

I just can't get fired up by a bunch of previews spouting cute little catch phrases like "Tonight we dine in HELL!!!!!111!!!" and "THIS...IS....SPARTA!!!!!!"

/yawn, whatever. It just seems like one of those "check your brain at the door" movies, and I guess I'm not into one of those right now
