Amberelle DeEspionne!

Seeing as how Temprah was kind enough to immortalize Alex West, my vampire from Sanguine Affliction I thought I would return the favor and get in some practise with Poser. (I'm a complete novice).

Nice, Alex. Did you want c/c?
Four Winds 19 years ago
Sure thing Roz. As I said I'm still trying to come to grips with Poser.

From DA comments I picked up two things to work on/improve.

1. Nasal Light
2. The hair reflection on the forehead.

c/c would be welcome as it can only help.

/giggles I don't even know how you get hair reflections... let alone get rid of them. *waits for the guru's to enlighten*

I thought those were shadows from the hair, not reflections? Also the katana blade needs to have the materials changed to look metallic, right now it looks like its matte black. And anyone who knows about swords.. shouldn't the blade edge be facing away from her?

I look at these little details =)

Makes sense, but I am no sword expert LOL Hell, in EQ... I maintain that because I am left handed my mainhand should be the other way round... it pisses me off beyond belief that I have to be righthanded in that game... /runs away embarassed that she would confess her lefty obsession

I think her sword is colliding with her hand a lil bit.. and the shadows on her face almost make her look like shes bruised (imho).. but over all I think it looks pretty good :)

Well she's hankering for a spankering anyway after tussling with Alex :D

When you click onto the real big close up of her, you see all those odd texturing or maybe even shadows on her face. What were your settings when you rendered this? Did you use custom lighting or packged? I don't know if you do post work (or like to, it's a pain) but smoothing out her hair a little with a real soft smudge would give it a softer look. Most poser hair renders kind of boxy which is so noticeable.

Welcome to the addiction though. You really are progressing nicely! =)

Hi Roz, I used the default lighting settings and looked at the Poser render settings that Vex posted here.

I'm new to using Photoshop as well so am slowly learning how to postwork Poser renders but would appreciate any tutorial's you could point me to.
