Lemony Snicketts

My word this is depressing. James carey does great as Count Olaf but he's unbelievably scary and mean. The ending is down right disgusting. Its a sad movie though. What the kids go thru, especially when they think they've found the perfect guardian, only to lose hope again.

Violet is an exceptionally beautiful little girl, too. Never seen the actress before, but she'll give Lindsay Lohan and Angelina Jolie (her lips) a run for their money.

i think i appreciated the cinamatography more than the movie itself.

i haven't read the book yet (i presume the movie is based offa one)

as far as "being a jim carry" movie - it's not his worst, but not his best imo.

/agree on the comment about Emily Browning (who was also the little ghost girl in Ghost Ship) she's cute as a button and will be a hotty when she gets older. didn't care so much for the lad though.

Oh the boy in the movie, Klaus was in Stepmom with Julia Roberts. Wow he's going to be VERY handsome when he gets older, too. And yeah the movie was beautiful. The costumes were fantastic.

The movie was based on the first 3 books though. Each guardian was a book, I guess, since they went thru Count Olaf, Uncle Monty (the best one by far) and Aunt Josephine (i think her name was).
