I've only gotten one in, back in October 06 for the pirate in the kitchen I did for Jenna on SMMO. I've submitted probably a good half dozen or more. I thought for sure my Jenny piece, the girl in the red dress would get in last month, but I got robbed...AGAIN!
You see a lot of the same people every month in there. Mimicat's pieces always get in, at least 2. I honestly don't know what they're going for - realism, fantasy...sometimes there are some pure shite pieces up in there. /shrug Long story short, I have no idea. =(
Is there a trick..
..to getting images accepted ( voted on) in the Daz Galleries ( other than PC)
or does my stuff just suck too much lol.
I know the PC gallery is different.. but Ive entered a few of things into the Monthly and Daz Studio ones.. maybe Im doing something wrong? It wouldnt irritate me if everything in the galleries was something I knew was better than whatever I turned in.. Maybe I'm being too arogant and my stuff needs more work than I thought lol.
My fear is really that Im doing something wrong.. but.. pretty sure Ive followed all guidelines..if theres some trick.. ( I need to use more than five Daz items or they prefer some type of.. anything..i dont know..)
If it doesnt go through..and if I want to be stubborn.. is it acceptable to retry with the same piece the next month.. or in a different gallery?

hehe well at least its not just me.
They say they hide the names of the artists during voting but I wonder.. though some people you can just tell who made it without seeing a name...

What sucks even worse, is that they put the same image in the same gallery 2 or 3 months in a row. And even the same image in Multiple Gallery's 2 or 3 months in a row.

I've also heard tale of someone submitting something, not getting in that month, then like 3 months later they put it in. Figure that one out 
Case in point, Mimi didn't put anything in last month, but they still put one of hers from some time. It was at least six months of me trying to get one in the Monthly before I finally did. And even then there's been a few months since I haven't. I think it's all hit or miss to be honest.

It's hard to tell what they like. In general I think they go for:
- something realistic: They go for realism a lot - realistic portraits are often on the first page.
- something new: I got a cartoon style image in once; I think it was because it was completely different to anything else they had. It didn't work a 2nd time, though!
- something with a new product: I get the impression they like that.
I find it very hit and miss. I think it largely depends on what they feel like at the time...

They love portraits too!
.. not sure what to tell ya =/ I pet some in before as well, not saying mine are all "that".. but I thought good enough to be in the gallery but they didnt add them at all

I've had one of my images in there before, and it was because it didn't have any postwork i think and was a straight render.
