Tears of the Rose & Final Sunset
Hi everyone.
I'm really happy with how these two finished up. They're both a set.

Wow! Gorgeous use of the background colors in the girls; I love the clothing and the way it flows, as well. :clap

I'll echo the previous comments and add that the compositions are simply stunning!
Putting on my CC cap, I find that the folds in the arms of Final Sunset seem too hard, especially on her right arm -- that seems to be an inherent quality of the Poser software that can be softened with postwork. That and her lower arm would probably catch some of the reflected hard light that is hitting her right upper arm.
It may be because of the reduction in scale, but I'm having a problem reading the edge of her left upper arm. There seems to be a slightly jagged, hard edge that may be helped with a little softening up.
With Tears of The Rose there's a bit of a discrepancy between the soft edges of her hair and the hard edges of her body and clothing -- some selective softening may further unify the figure with her setting.
I love the use of the branches in both the background and foreground of Final Sunset and also how you achieve a sophisticated, unified image with a minimum of elements. Both pieces are wonderful, and I buy into their stories. It takes some effort to step back and actually give a critical eye.

Hey Wyst thank you for the crit. I can see what you mean. If you need to see bigger scales of these images (unfortunately, here they shrink down :( ) You can see them bigger at my dev gallery at these two links

I like the pallette you used in both these pieces. I would agree with Wystro that a little extra postwork to soften the folds and edges of the cloth would take it just that extra step further.
I especially like the Tears piece. I tend to gravitate to the cooler color pallette.

Thanks everyone :)
Remember these are old peices so my postwork skils weren't as good back then. But maybe when i get a chance i can rework them :) Or make the pair into a set of four or something... that would be interesting.
Thanks again guys! Its very helpful.

O, I didn't realise they were old pieces. I personally try to avoid criting older finished work because its not a real representation of current skill level. Out of curriosity which of your posts are current work and which are old pieces?

If you look at my works you'll see that they're signed and dated usually.
