Why was Solusek Ro way more fun than Bristlebane?

It just seemed like the whole time I played EQ on the BB server after the merger that the majority of the people who played on that server were a bunch of fucking babies. They don't like it when you tell them when something is fucked up and always try to avoid any disagreements or differences of opinions, even though discussions of such often bring about closure and help matters most of the time.

On Solusek Ro, conflict drove the competition and made the game have an edge to it. I mean, it kind of had a PVP edge to it because not only were you having fun with your guild doin the shit that you did, but to beat another guild to a mob or event, or to train some asshole that you never liked just made the game that much more fun. As soon as the server merge happened, I lost that feeling except when I hung out with strictly Sol Ro people.

Was that just my feelings or did any of you feel similar?

No idea

You need to come back though! We need rogues =p

I don't have an account. I gave Mizen to a RL friend of mine and I have zero interest in starting from scratch if I were to play again.

I will be having free time again after next week because our basketball league will be over with.

Nah I have zero interest in being a rogue again. I was already the best there was.

Fitan let me play his account some and I kinda liked being a tank, but then again I could play Bangor if I wanted to, but he's only level 70 and has like zero flags.

I'd get ahold of a Monks info and play them Miz. They are great DPS still.

Probably be a tad less demanding to play then Rogues in RoV since we use Bards to pull over Monks.

I am enjoying the atmosphere of BB over Sol Ro. It could just be that the kids have all left and moved on to newer games. With the advent of instanced content it took a lot of the edge off the people and the game. No more KSing, or racing to mobs. Imho it took a lot of the greed out of the game. I wasn’t around on the merger so I cant speak for the transitional period but I like the guild Im in now. I raid when I want to, play when I want to and if I don’t feel like logging on I don’t have to. I’m in Veeshan’s Fury which is primarily a BB guild and it’s been around for 7 years now. Our average age of player is 30+ which makes a huge difference.

Don’t get me wrong my triadica years were the best in the game for me, hands down.

PS Someone needs to string up the fucker who thought it would be cool to make people do 40-50 gayass missions to become ally for TBS and get your new spells. I haven't and probably wont ever see the raid content but its the worst expansion to date.

I do it the lazy way

I sit AFK in a group with Sindaael almost every morning while he chain solo's Solteris #6 mission.

And yeah I agree, TBS is the worse damn expansion to date easy -- When November comes around, TBS and the end-zone Solteris will be ghost towns....I foresee guilds skipping Solteris all together for the new expansion and guilds that have started Solteris to drop their progression within the zone and go straight to the next expansion also -- Thats a bit too "Darkblood" -- However, the end zone really REALLY does suck that bad and the itemization is the worse in EQ to date...RvR is outta wack hardcore in TBS.

Have to say I miss Sol Ro a lot myself. Although I wasn't much into the hating, I did find it very entertaining. Never have quite got into the BB groove and have spent as much time unguilded as I have guilded. If not for raiding I doubt I'd ever join a guild. I think the ups and downs of Sol Ro made it more exciting, you never knew what was gonna happen when you logged in and I seriously liked the people better and still do. I really miss Solrorage/BBhate boards, it was nice to see everyone come together and argue shit lol. I recall coming in really hammered one night and taking Calodos to task for the whole Empy/AoT Chalik incident there when I was in Empy ( I think he still holds it against me). I am seriously looking at Vanguard I have a free trial but I've got to get a better video card than my 5900 or so I'm told.

The things that made SolRo so fun are also the reasons I didnt like it. The competition was what was so fun about it but I could never handle that now. Phone calls at 4am to log on cuz a mob spawned and stuff. I guess its kinda like high school, you can look back and miss it for what it was but you dont want to go back there...maybe for a day or two but not for a long time.
