Just Letting Off Steam

Sorry Roz if this isn't in the right area. Let's see get to work and the boss is in a crappy mood and guess what???? Everything is my fault but of course. Then I would say about 1 pm (when it starts to get unbearable in Houston) it's like hot as hell in our office. So we figure ok the air condition is broken or something. For some reason we go to check the air conditioning units outside our building. Guess what. The unit for upstairs the motor is busted and the downstairs one (which we are in) is gone. Well not completely gone just taken apart and they cut the copper coils out. Which copper is at ridiculous prices (I know this because we are remodeling on of our buildings which they stole all the copper out of also and needs to be replaced). Then we look over to the building next to us which we own also and they hit one of the units there. So out of the 4 4 ton units we have they hit 2 of them and the police officer said to hold off on calling the insurance company because probably within 2 days they will hit the other 2. So the units cost any where from $3,500 to $5,000 a unit. So besides being expensive as it is it will probably cost us even more money by the time this is all said and done with. So how do you call the insurance company and tell them that our air conditioning units were robbed? Yeah I can just see me calling and telling them that. But it's par for the course this is only the 6th time I have had to call the cops for this property because of burglary. Oh and now I can't walk the minute walk to the Subway on the next block for lunch anymore because last Thursday some crack head decided to go into the Cricket store next to the subway and shoot the person working there for some money. Thank god the person is ok but now I won't even walk over there. I won't even leave our gated property unless I am in my car and going a long distance. Bad part is we are in the one of the better parts of Houston.

Ok rant off. Just needed to vent. Just one of those days.

Yeah Houstons a bit scary to me. The heat alone should scare you! We were down there this last weekend and while it acutally wasnt that hot, it sure rained all the sudden and blasted away all visibility. Fun drive home Monday =[

Anyways! Sorry you had a bad day, life without AC, Id literally rather die. ; ;

One reason for me not to go back to the states any time soon :(
Going to be so weird going to there from here where I can up and leave the house unlocked without a care if I wanted. :( *sniffles*

Yes I know. I only work in Houston I make the 1 to 2 1/2 drive depending on traffic to work. I live out by the water. I can run down the street to the store and be out for an hour or more and not lock my door. I wouldn't trade that for the world.

The house we bought in missouri Im supposed to move to by the end of the year.. It still has its ancient 100 year old locks on it lol. When we went out to look at it the owner got called out to go help with a fire ( he is the mayor) he said we could look around just please close the door when we leave, lol. Coming from Phoenix I think Ill have difficulty adjusting to that sort of environment.
