art?
what is this art thing you speak of?
My Monitor
Much suckage...my monitor at home doesn't display the same colours as my monitor at work. I'm inclined to believe that my monitor at work is calibrated properly since I have all my work printed. I think I'd rather pay for a new monitor then go to the effort of trying to calibrate the old one. Those machines to do that are kinda expensive.
Does anyone else have to fuss with their art because of a bad monitor?

My monitor at home is a NEC and the one here at work is a Dell. When I do work on one of my machines the colors look ok, when I view on the other, it is darker. (I don't remember which) They are both using the default colors for PS7. I'm sure there is a way to fix this, I've just been lazy and not fixed it yet.

I usually only have a problem with how bright/dark things are. How old is your monitor? Bah, get a new one, but if you do, make sure you're buying one that's at rated decent. Dont buy a sanyo sony knock off. Invest in your monitor, I'd say without blowing 1k on it. It'll last way longer that way.

There are web sites that will calibrate your monitor, but damned if I can't find the link now. Ask over on NS someone there will know, since that is where I got the site in the first place.

Saddly enough, I have to do my art schtuff in the top right corner of my screen. In the bottom left corner my screen has turned into this really dark grey blob. It just stares at me. Watching me, haunting me. Anyday now I just know it's gonna creep up to the rest of my monitor.
But yanno, when you're broke, ya make do with what ya got. =)
I'd say go with a Dell, they seem to have some really good deals after rebates and such.
Either way, g'luck fixing the problem. =)

i bet they display the same colors. you are probably just drunk or tripping on acid by the time you get home from work p
personally, when i get home from work, my home monitor seems so much more colorful... but that's probably due to the weed i smoked on the way home from work.

I forget who it was or maybe I saw it on deviantart, but they make those monitors that are like widescreen and 3 monitors long. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
