This is just a little something i've been working on..... Since yesterday. So its got about 12 hours work into it so far.

Thank you hun. Yeah her shoulders are like that in the photo reference. I thought it was odd too. Coz i did that pose myself and my shoulders dont do that......

Why not post your photo reference too, we might be able to give some helpful feedback if we could see where you're coming from :) anatomy wise. Sometimes it's best to adjust some things from photo to painting the photo is just a jumping off place after all.

She might have a little scoliosis, which could by why her shoulders seem uneven, theres no reason why your character has to as well though :

hehe scoliosis is basically a crooked or bent spine, would make her posture a little off.

The pose and layout really lend itself to symmetry. If the piece were mine I would definitely lower her right (our left) shoulder to match the other one. I would probably narrow her neck a little too, but that’s just a personal preference.
Additional CC: I really like the longer hairstyle it's cute. I don't think is works well with this pic tho. The up do ads sophistication to the piece. Also with the looser style the hair spike thingies don't really make as much sense.
I thought it was really creative and interesting how you started building an actual headdress out of the hair spikes in the WIP.

Actually i think i agree with you Lunna. I think i'll shorten the hairdoo and try fix the shoulder and add a headpeice again. I did like the headpeice idea when i first started it. Annoying how i constantly change my mind.......but all in the learning.....
