Lady Noir - WIP

This is my most recent work.

This process has taken three hours. Line work in Photoshop, colours and shading blending all in painter IX using gouache, and oily blenders.

Enjoy!

Still a WIP loads of work to go yet.

I think you could go even a little darker with the shadows on her face. She's looking down at her light source, right? I love noir - it tends to be very dark and shadowy, full of drama :D.

Very beautiful. I love seeing your art. It's always full of beautiful surprises and I also hate how PB changes the size of the pic *sigh* But what can ya do.

Verlieah, in the reference its got 3 lights, one from above and an overexposed spot light on her face so there's not as much shadowing. i'll post the reference as soon as. She's finished now anyway. :)

So here she is.

I almost like the less blurred lines of her hair than what the end result was in the blue finished piece. The crisp hardness of the layers really gave that it a nice feel to it somewhat. =)

i agree with you actually. I just went with how the image tells me to. But i do like the WIPs more myself :)
