There's just something about monsters with such a small upper head that annoys me (like the updated Godzilla design). Having a large jaw is one thing, but I hate it when it makes the head look awkward (and yeah, I realize that's modelled off a whale's head... which doesn't really make it seem any less doofy).

Nope, got to give me a good clue on what a movie is about before I anticipate it.

I'm not going to pay 8.50 per person to go see something that I have no clue is about, just the type of person I'am.

I saw From Dusk Till Dawn in the theaters without knowing it was a vampire flick. At the time, I'd just moved to TX against my will and hadn't been watching much TV. No exposure to commercials, no one to really talk to, no clue. The posters didn't hint at vamps, and the first time I'd heard about it was when my sis and her husband said I had to watch it. They thought it was hysterical how one of the guys was shot in the hand and stared through the hole.

Just read the spoiler. It looks like they showed the entire movie in the commercials - which basically means that you don't learn shit about anything. There are some suggestions as to what the monster is but nothing ever definitive. Found the concept art for the monster, which apparently you get a perfect view of at the ending. If you want to call it an ending.

What a pisser.

This movie is really awesome. It's not about a monster rampaging NY but friends running from a monster rampaging NY. Pretty much a disaster movie told from their point of view. The beginning of the film is practically spelled out in the commercials and the original teaser. I highly recommend unless you get motion sickness easily since it's a good deal of shaky camera work.

if youve seen the trailers, you can miss the first 20 minutes or so of the movie. The rest of the movie I was pretty much on the edge of my seat stifling exclamations here and there, but I dont think I would go see it again or anything. It was so/so for me.

Well we watched this last night (I know, I'm late to the party). While it's not exactly my type of movie - I liked it. I thought they did a good job with the characters, and the camera ended up being cleverly done (which was something I was dreading).
