vamp products on torrent sites

http://www.vamp3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=65

i've nuked 1 account off the store already, the rest are pretty ambiguous, and the offending site doesn't want to provide IPs or email addresses so we can track down who's responsible for it all.

hopefully Renderosity will ban the people who've made purchases through that store.

really makes me not want to even work on products anymore cause of this shit.

I completely sympathize with you Vex. I've had my entire PP store posted before. OMG are they unwilling to help though a few of the sites will get your products off there. I just can't believe people will buy our products then do this. Even worse i have found testers responsible and then beyond that other fellow merchants. It's disturbing.

Don't let it stop you though. Your work is beautiful.. and I've started buying exclusively from your store to better support you both because personally i hate rendo and don't like supporting them unless i absolutely have to. (I don't believe in their treatement of merchants). I was thrilled when you opened VAMP.

That sucks so bad. All those people stealing your product need to be beaten! I am so sorry that this has happened to you two, or anyone for that matter! :(

I'm not sure what to say about this except I'm sorry this happened to you guys. It's a f***ed up thing those people did, & I hope you can get the website to cooperate with you, so you can deal with those who did it.

I read this first when I got a lovely mail about it in my e-box this morning. I was extremely pissed off, and still am pissed off on behalf of the artists behind VAMP. I mean, what f'ing nerve to buy something, then share it! Hell, I purchase things to make sure that if I want to use my render made from it commercially or whatever (prints etc) I can. I bet people don't think about licensing and the like, and how it wouldn't apply to them. Then again it's so frigging hard to keep track of who bought what that it's not worth the hassle. People on torrent sites give us legitimate purchasers bad names! Gah, I'm still so ticked off that I'm rambling, so going to end this now.
/hugs to the VAMP girls!

I'll keep buying my stuff legitly when I can, and when I can't afford it I will wait til I can! But you can damned well be certain I'll be buying it from VAMP.
