It's my party and I'll cry if I want to.
I woke up this morning with a nasty case of pink eye in my right eye and not so nasty in my left eye... ewwwwwww!!!!!
Then my mom looks to me and says :
"I'll have to call your aunt"
Me:
"Why?"
Mom:
"They were throwing you a surprise birthday party today for you since your birhday's tomorrow"
Me:
"Lovely.. "
So I get to miss my own birthday party. Yeah, 25 whoopdeedoo... but still it really blows!

It's one of those things that I find funny, mainly due to my impeccable timing. Family's decided that we'll all go out to dinner next week instead, long after I'm done being contagious.
I bought my kids toys for my birthday present.... happy kids makes for one happy mom, a day before her birthday or not! =)

Update on the actual birthday:
My eye was as gross as ever, so we just hung around the house. My husband sent me a soul pouch for my warlock and a birthday card. My mother's taking me out for girly stuff (manicure and pedicure) before my who knows when flight. Lots of hugs around my legs from my goober two year old which I loved dearly... the hugs and the two year old.
Later that night, steak dinner and carvel @ home ftw!
Over all it was not that bad!

ETA: I still love my two year old! bad past tense used... eek.
