Ed Norton? =( I really liked Eric Bana when he did it in 2003.

There was just something about that first movie that didn't look right to me. The Hulk didn't seem to have any real weight to him. He just looked like an inflated balloon, ready to pop if he was pierced. I kept thinking that if a VW Bug crashed into him, he would've been knocked into the air, only to slowly drift back down to the ground.

Looks like Robert Downey Jr will reprise his role as Tony Stark in this.

I love the fact that they are pretending the first piece of crap they called "Hulk" never happened and are starting over.

After the credits in Ironman, and RDjr being in this one seem to indicate some good things in the future for these two stories.

Now if only DC Comics would pick up the pace and put out good movies in something other than Batman we could have a ton of good comic movies coming soon.

Ok, a little more detail:

Apparently this isn't a sequel to the first Hulk movie - they basically rewrite how Bruce was turned into the Hulk, following more with the comic/tv series than with it being an accidental gamma ray exposure/DNA manipulation by his father. No mention of his father either.

They introduce Abomination, the original solider played by Tim Roth who I absolutely love. He's very hoorah military with a no tolerance for bullshit but after receiving the super soldier serum (which has awesomeness effects) of course goes crazy, per the comic book code. The Scientist (Mr. Blue) is introduced at the end as 'The Leader', super smarty pants scientist who Mike says is affected by the gamma rays and since everyone reacts different to the mutated gamma rays, developes into an evil comic character that I'm sure they'll elaborate on in later Marvel Produced movies.

Because of Ed Norton's refusal to promote the movie (due to $$ they're saying) Marvel Productions leaked the appearance of Robert Downey Jr's. Tony Stark - so no real spoiler there. Handsome f ucker, such nice suits. Only Tony, no Iron Man but a tease to the future S.H.I.E.L.D movie hinted at the end credit of Iron Man with Samuel L Jackson.

As with everyone's confoozulness - all the main characters were replaced. Dr. Betty Ross, previously played by Jennifer 'many close ups staring thoughfully' Connelly with Liv 'sexy woah-man' Tyler. I thought she did a great job. William Hurt as the General or Colonel, whatever the rank replaces Sam Sheppherd and does an ok job . He's William Hurt - he fucking rocks. Ed Norton is of course Bruce Banner, replacing Eric Banna who I thought did a great job as BB.

This version of Hulk does have more action, certainly more bullets whereas the first Hulk they say is just too cerebral for the comic goers. A comic movie should be full of action, I suppose. I really liked both versions but Hulk 2008 really does retell the story totally. It picks up where it left off, but did a huge flash back in the beginning changing the story.

Stan Lee of course makes his appearance and has a funny one liner. No spoilers there =D Lou Ferrigno (or however you spell it) the original HULK actor from the TV series makes a cameo as well. That fucker is STILL BUFF and he looks good twenty some odd years later.

Action wise, I wouldn't say it had more, but the CGI was amazing. The new hulk is way WAY angrier but the development of the story really does beg for at least 2 sequels, which I heard Liv Tyler has signed for but Ed Norton is still holding out for more money.

I'd give it 7 out of 10.
