Rock Band - by the makers of Guitar Hero 1 and 2

This came out or is about to come out but Best Buy had a demo of it over the weekend. Mike says its because the acoustics of the store and the sound system (or lack of) they were using is why it sounded the way it did, but I pretty much proclaimed that we are not buying this game. I'm such a meanie, but OMG imagine a fat Best Buy guy playing the drums (SERIOUSLY...PLAYING THE DRUMS WITH SUCH CONCENTRATION KNOWN ONLY FOR THE SAT'S), a goofy kid on guitar and ANOTHER goofy kid singing. It sounded so tinny, so painfully geekish that I had to run from ear shot.

Maybe I'm old.

Well, I finally experienced being a spectator to this at Best Buy. I was going through the Wii/PS2/PS3/360 games to try and spur a bit of Xmas shopping mentality (didn't work... being sick and in a bad mood a lot messes with it), when I heard a somewhat loud [pok] [pok-pok] [pok] [pok] noise behind me. I peeked around the corner and had to shake my head. Some very curvy girl with long black hair was doing the drum bit by herself. She actually looked good enough from behind for me to be slightly curious about what she looked like from the front, but she looked so freaking goofy with the game that I decided not to embarrass the hell out of her by walking right up to her. I couldn't even hear the Weezer song she was trying to play along with because she was whacking the drums so hard.

I hear for the drum set, guitar, microphone and game - it's $170. =x

Is that with just one guitar? Either way, if anyone wants to play that on my system, they have to buy it. It's just not something I want.

I bought it and my friends come over at least 2-3 times a week to play around on it. I am still addicted to guitar hero 3.

Gay ass fucking games. I saw a business man in a full sweat being a fucking tool in best buy playing this. Sadly one of the guys who helped come up with the concept, chose all the music, and licenses it for Activision is one of my closest friends in the world. I am gonna beat the shit out of him this year when he comes home for coming up with Guitar Queer-o and rockband.

Serg's a HATER. Have a couple beers and then try it out - it's the gayest looking thing but it does get really fun.

All I have to say on this one is, I'm mean. My hubby wants the game I think, but I'm not having all that crap in my living room. We've got lots of games we havnt finished yet, three consoles and a tv that's taller than I am. I think that's plenty.
