This was disappointing. Hayden managed to do fairly well in the movie - a helluva lot better acting than in Star Wars, that's for damn sure. The movie lacks in explanation - you don't know what they are or how 'bad' some of them were in the past to warrant these 'Paladins' to search for them for centuries and kill them. There's this special knife Samuel L Jackson uses to kill them - special as in it looks old, nothing magical but there's no history on it, or him, at all.
You don't know what happens to the other Jumper he meets.
You don't know what happens to Sam's character.
The relationship between Christensen and his high school crush is fucking stupid - I don't even know why they put her in the movie in the first place, other than eye candy.
They don't explain Christensen's mother- well they do, but not fully.
It had one of those disappear into thin air semi-happy endings. This movie could have been SO much more with more detailing. =/

*shrug* I watched it last night. Thought it was pretty good actually. I don't think things have to be spelled out in detail to make something good. I think the why of the paladins hunting them was pretty obvious. They were religious zealots. Samuel's char keeps telling them that they are abominations and that only God should be able to be in all places. As for his girlfriend/crush whatever, I think she was pretty integral to his story... she helped prove that he wasn't like the others. He wanted to be with her, not all alone. Just my 2cp ;)
