It also depends on what you use the machine for. I don't do any graphics. I use it for office apps, email, school, everquest about once a week. So yes I like the way it works. It is more responsive, quicker, and more intuitive than XP. Hell Im not using that pseudo mac queareo interface ether. It runs peachy. I also did not buy the four letter word of computers either.

I would love to be able to mark some things off my ever growing wishlists at rendo and daz and other stores, but people tend to want to give things you can unwrap, so it isnt likely hehe.
Im moving somplace theres snow.. and ive never been in snow for more than an hour or two at a time.. so I prolly need like, cold weather clothes or shoes or something.. no clue :( Im gonna mourn my flip flops this winter..

i just reformatted back to XP pro. i plan on using it til 2009 or whatever. when the next "windows" comes out - if i'm still using windows by then. i might just say fuck that and go all-mac.

Christmas for me is going to be super thin this year since I just got a car for my 10 year ann. lol
I did ask for bra for the car and some GTS but not much out for the 2008s yet =( Did get myself some jack mats for it so I can get rid of the paper thingies hehe

Hubby and I are not getting anything for each other for Christmas. Instead, we put money in our cruise fund, and are going on a cruise on Jan 10th. Our first vacation since last May, and our first cruise since Sept. '06. And it's a DISNEY cruise! How cool is that!?

I would love to go on a cruise. I think Stephanie doesn't like being in the middle of large bodies of water, so that will probably cancel out any cruise opportunities.

I actually cheated and setup an Amazon list for myself and my son this year. Got tired of telling people what I want and them staring at me blankly!
It has a bunch of books and movies, a digital camera, a Flip digital camera, a bunch of toys (for the kiddo), and Everquest II: Rise of Kunark. I know I'm getting the EQ2 - was told specifically I was so not to buy it!! WOOT!!!!

That reminds me. We have inductive toners at work to trace signals for data lines. Plug one end in a wall jack, go to the closet and run the speakerwand over the ports until you hear a signal. One year, I made a label for the speakerwand that said, "STUD FINDER." Then I hid the other end in my pocket. I walked around to several women's desks that day on the pretense of scanning the walls with the "stud finder." It never did anything until it got near my pelvic region, at which case it started making all sorts of noise. Luckily they liked me enough to never, ever get me in trouble. They did smack the hell out of me, though. After they stopped laughing.

my sister wants to know what to get me - but like roz, i buy what i want when i want , i leave little room for gift-giving ( who the hell wants to wait 6 months for something - and i dont need a coat on christmas day, i need it a month earlier than that when its freezing ... )
but i want stuff like a TV and a recliner. can't exactly ask my sister for those items.
